Densi + Eric car scene

Callen and Sam were off to Russia. That means they needed extra hands in the field. Eric volunteered. Little did he know that it meant he had to wear pants.

After he found some pants in wardrobe and got the jacket Hetty requested to conceal his 9mm., they were off.

Kensi was driving, Deeks was in the passenger seat, and Eric was and the back. No one was talking, so he felt the need to break the silence.

"Are we there yet?"

Kensi looked at him through the rearview mirror. "You already asked that twice. D'you have short term memory loss?"

Deeks looked at Kensi a little confused why she snapped at him like that.

"Sorry. This is my first time really out in the field, and I gotta say, I'm a little nervous."

"You don't say." Kensi was getting more and more irritated, feeling like she had a seven-year-old boy sitting in her back seat. She knew she hated kids.

Deeks started to worry. 'Why is she so upset?' he thought.

"Kens. You good?"

"I'm fine."

Deeks knows what 'I'm fine' means. It means she's not fine.

"You sure?"

"Honestly, I don't know! Callen and Sam are in Russia with no one to back them up, and we are stuck here with a seven-year-old who doesn't like to wear pants!"

"Hey!"

"Sorry Eric. I didn't mean it."

Deeks just kept staring at her with wide, concerned eyes.

"They'll be okay. We'll be okay." He assured her.

They got to where they were going and Kensi just sat in the car. She didn't even unbuckle her seat belt. Her hand was on the center console. As Eric got out of the car, excited to finally there, Deeks picked up Kensi's one hand and put it in between his.

"Everything is gonna be be okay. I promise. And if anything does happen, we will be the first to know."

She was staring at their hands. When he was done, she finally looked up at him.

"Okay." She fluttered her lashes and and a faint smile grew on her face.

He smiled at her, "Let's go catch some bad guys, partner."

"Let's."
