Love Story

A/N: Any and all weirdness for this, I blame it on my music box.

Reprise - any repetition or copying of a song, part of a song, role, etc. preformed earlier.

First Reprise

Jou stood out there, in the pouring rain, his heavy bangs soaked with it. He looked up at the tallest building in Domino for just a second.

He started inside.

The woman at the desk didn't even notice him going up to the top floor.

Second Reprise

Dripping on the floor, Jounouchi just gave the secretary a stony look. She whithered under it and let him through without a word.

Third Reprise

Seto barely even looked up from his laptop before Jou was upon him, both hands outstretched.

Fourth Reprise

The secretary smiled a gentle, parental smile, as sounds filtered from her bosses office that had made previous secretaries blush. It made her a little more peaceful, knowing that even though one thing had been taken away, they had gotten something that went beyond words in return.

Even if the blond scared her on occasion.

Fifth Reprise

"And what brought that on?"

Jou brought out a tiny music box and started to crank it, letting the tinny tune say for him what he no longer could.

ENDish

There is a little story that goes with this piece. XD Ever since I was little, my grandma has had this one music box. It's kind of a purplish-clear color and it's a little battered, and made out of plastic with a white unicorn printed on top. I have alwaysadmired this music box, since it has the most pleasant melody that I have ever heard.

But I didn't know what that was.

Tuesday, while shopping with my friends, I had a feeling that we should go into this little waterglobe/trinket giftshop. While there, I found this cute little display of crankshaft music boxes. I started playing with one (it was Singing in The Rain) and my one friend came over to see what I was playing with. She thought they were cool and started looking at them too. A couple minutes later, she found one labeled Love Story. She showed it to me right then because it was one that I remember her trying to explain that she had been trying to find. I could have cried right then. (As a matter of fact, I think I did tear up just then.)

Anyway, in the end, we both ended up buying one.

Notes about story.-

Yes, the note above is bigger than the story, By about ten words. XD

Anyway, in the story, Jou has indeed lost his voice. Anybody catch that? Prolly not...moving on.

I wrote this with no clear path in mind, and with only the song to go by. Even if it's a bit disjointed, I still like it. I might write more of it at one point. 0.o'
