Rapid footsteps echoed through the cramped storage warehouse as Clara ran from her pursuer. She had heard about the Daleks before, having had convinced a rather unwilling Doctor to tell her about one of her many copies, one apparently called Oswin, who had been converted into a Dalek herself.

Clara swore she always felt so much better after they had talked.

From what the Doctor had told her, or, rather the lack of what the Doctor told her, the Daleks didn't seem like pleasant creatures; and after being separated from the Doctor by one of these Daleks, Clara didn't particularly feel like suffering the same fate, or any sort of death, at the hands- or suction cup- of a Dalek.

As Clara ran around another corner, her blood ran cold as she saw the Dalek blocking her way. As she tried to take a step back, the Dalek focused its fierce blue glow stare on her, its gun taking aim.

"You will be exterminated!" The Dalek barked, drawling out its favored word.

Clara, who was frozen to the spot in shock and fear, had her wide eyes focused on Dalek's gun so hard that she never noticed the humanoid figure rushing at her from her right side.

So it came to be quite a surprise when the Dalek took its shot at Clara and instead cut through empty air as something wrapped its warm skinny arms around Clara as it tackled her to the ground; quickly removing her from harms way. There were grunts as the two people hit the hard concrete ground, hidden temporarily from the Dalek's horrid glare. This escape was short lived though, for not long after the bone chilling groan of the Dalek on the prowl quickly filled the air. Clara lifted her head up slowly from the ground, slightly disoriented from being tackled. Through her own hair which was a mess before her eyes, Clara could make out wind swept brown hair, and a pair of white converse; the rest of the figure was a dizzy blur.

As the Dalek announced it had located its target, a human shout rang out as it ordered one single thing while a hand grabbed Clara's and pulled her to her feet and obeyed the order.

"RUN!"
