Mark looked at the door waiting for Roger and Mimi to get back inside. They walked back inside the Life. Roger was smiling the cutest smile, making Mark smile. "He loves her, not me." He said to himself over and over. "She makes him happy, that's all that matters. They love each other forever." Mark said, trying to get it into his system. "Your best friend's finally happy now. She got him out of the house, not you. They're in love."
Collins walked over to Mark. "You okay?" He asked him.
"Yeah.." Mark replied slowly, still trying to keep his fake smile on. In all honesty, all Mark wanted to do was sit in a corner and cry, but he knew he couldn't. He had to stay strong. "Yeah I'm just thinking about filming, you know, the usual. Nothing else.. Heh heh." His smile grew creepily.
Collins gave Mark a sad look. "Are you sure?" Mark nodded, that creepy smile still on his face. "Mark." Collins said sternly. "Seriously, what's bothering you?" He looked at Roger who was making out with Mimi. Collins raised his eyebrows. "So, is that what's making you upset?" He asked him, assuming it was.
Mark looked down for a second, then back up. "No, I'm not upset at all. I'm serious. I'm actually quite tired." He assured Collins with a smile, though he knew Collins could see right through his lie.
"Okay, just remember that you can talk to me if you ever need to." Collins told him, not arguing.
Mark nodded, the smile still on his face. Collins left and Mark looked back over at Mimi and Roger who were still making out. He sigh and leaned against the wall. He bit his lip.
"He loves her, not me." Mark said to himself. "She makes him happy, not me." Collins could hear him say that, but he didn't want to bother him about it. Mark couldn't keep his smile, and it soon turned into a frown. Everyone awed at Mimi and Roger, except for Mark. He went into a corner. Hoping no one would see him. To his luck, no one did.
Mark looked at all the couples: Maureen and Joanne, Collins and Angel... Roger and Mimi. He looked down, biting his lip harder. He tried not to cry, but tears slipped out anyway. Everyone was kissing or being all lovey dovey, and there was Mark, alone in a corner. No one noticed he was gone. Why would they? He rolled his eyes as he left the Life. He looked behind him to find everyone still dancing and having a great time.
Mark wasn't in the mood for any filming, he didn't want to do anything but go in an alley and cry, cry till he couldn't cry anymore. He kicked pebbles on the side of the rode, more tears spilling from his eyes.
"They don't need me.. No one does.. No one ever did.." Mark said to himself as he walked farther and farther away from the Life.
