The Doctor stood there, taking in the beautiful view. Her arms were crossed, her shoulder's square, and her head was held high. Alexander's words still ran through the Doctor's mind, a sad frown on her face.

Alex's word struck closer to home than she'd liked. It was hard to believe that the Doctor almost killed a Star Whale. But she shook her head, and looked at stars.
From behind, the Doctor could hear the soft footsteps of what she hoped to be her companion.
"Hey." Alex greeted, standing next to the Doctor.
"Alexander Pond. You could have killed everybody on this ship.." The Doctor said, turning to her companion.
"Oi, and you could have killed a star whale." Alex replied.
"..And you saved it. I know, I know."
"Amazing, don't you think? A star whale.. All that pain and misery…and loneliness." Alex looked over at the Doctor, who had her gaze fixed on the stars, "And it just made it kind." The Doctor looked over at Alex.
"But you couldn't have known how it would react." The Time Lady mumbled.
"You couldn't, but I've seen it before. Very old, very kind, and the very last of it's kind…Sound a bit familiar?"
The two of them smiled and stared at each other, before hugging each other. It was good to have a companion that kept the Doctor whole and together. But the Doctor worried for him, because traveling with her had it's price…
