Katie Matlin's leather combat boots paced the strawberry brown wood kitchen floor. Her thoughts mangled up into a large mass, she couldn't recall anything. There wasn't anything for her to do except go into full on panic mode. Her porcelain skin was trembling more than usual. "Are you okay?" A younger voice interuped her aimless moving. Silence. "Katie, what's wrong?" Maya's voice filled with worry. There wasn't anything she could possibly get out. It was as if someone had stuffed her mouth with a large cork. Katie collapsed onto the floor. It was obvious that her body gave out. "K-Katie!" The girl's vision became murky.

A cold chill rolled down her spine. Her blue eyes taking in the appearence of the closed in hospital bedroom. The walls we're blanly white, along with everything else in the room besides a small lounging chair, which was an oak green colour. "Hey." The same familiar small voice filled the room. Katie swallowed the large lump in her throat. "Dr. Sutton said that you had three kind of pills in your system." Maya trailed off, sitting on the edge of the hospital bed next to her sister. "Tell me why. Did you think this would do any good? I thought you changed, Katie." Before the helpless girl could say anything, her younger sibling continued. "This is dangerous! You could of die from it! I dont wan't you to die. Katie, I need you." Tears began to stream down Maya's pale, oval shaped face. She was at a loss of words again. It seemed as if that cork was still holding her back. Katie slowly whiped the tears away from her sister's face with her frail fingertips. "I'm sorry, Maya. I've been going through alot lately, please don't be mad at me." The two held a steady gaze. Katie didn't wan't to flat out tell her what was the big dilemma behind her excessive pill taking. She didn't wan't to tell anyone about it. The situation was shameful. "No, you're selfish. Ever since you got out of rehab it's been about you. Is Katie okay? Can Katie sleep okay? I'm tired of it." Maya quickly stormed out of the room, the door slamming hard behind her. Katie Matlin was left with her thoughts once again. She knew that after this, her secret couldn't be bottled up anymore.
