Authors notes: Hi everyone, if anyone starts reading this and thinks something basically identical to this, well you probably did. When i was 12/13 i attempted to write this, having read back through it today i realized how terrible it actually was. So with some adjustments, my now 17 year old self has re-written the first two chapters. Feel free to leave any reviews, i look forward to hearing any opinions. It would also benefit me if any writers would leave feedback as i am an A-level student doing English Language. I've struggled in my first year, mainly due to my dyslexia but that shouldn't stop me from being creative. So enjoy!

Rose
"Come off it Al," I groaned as he followed me out of the Great Hall. We hadn't been in school for a day and the Head Boy and Head Girl had already fallen out. New Hogwarts record.
"No," he folded his arms, standing in front of me and my blocking my path. I rolled my eyes at his immaturity. "My best friend and cousin are always falling out. I've had it! No more this year, Rose. It's our last year, so please try to get along or one of you will end up dead by the end of this year!" he was practically begging. "Please, Rose"
"Albus, he turned my hair blue. BLUE," I shouted the last word rather aggressively it would seem, as he took a step back. A few people's heads turned our way, sniggering at what had happened only moments ago.
"Yes, and you managed to fix it because you are Rose Weasley" Albus said with a hint of laughter behind his seriousness.
" not before the whole school saw it," I sulked shaking my head my head. Albus finally looked defeated. "Tell Malfoy rounds start at 7. I'm off to find Mack" I started walking towards the Ravenclaw common room.
"Hey, Rosie," Mackenzie grinned at me; I half smiled back. "Oh...What's that face for?" She frowned at me.
"Malfoy," I spat his name like poison in my mouth. "Only turned my hair blue, the filthy little-"
"Woah woah woah, calm it. I'm sure you looked stunning with blue hair." She bit her lip laughing slightly.
"I don't know how I looked, only that the people who saw laughed" I replied grumpily.
There was a moment of uncomfortable silence that I used to inspect my nails.
"Anyway, how's the common room going to cope without you this year?" Mackenzie asked, trying to get rid of some of the tension that lingered in the room.
"Well...you will all probably get more sleep because I won't have the light on all night, reading," She fist pumped the air cheerily earning a chuckle from me. "I'm sure you will be able to come and see the Heads room." I said to her.
"What's it like?" she asked me eagerly.
"Well I don't actually know, I haven't been up there yet and I'm staying in the common room tonight after the blue hair incident."
She raised an eyebrow. "You will have to talk to Scorpius about it" I raised an eyebrow at her. "Oh, you know, about letting me in your common room."
"No? He will probably have Albus and that scumbag Matthew in there as we speak, ransacking my room for...tampons." I put my head in my hand.
"Hey, I doubt they're that obsessed with you plus Albus is way too innocent to be looking for anything like that, especially of yours think about how grossed out he would be" Mackenzie said to me, putting her arm around my shoulders
"Bloody hell, this year is going to kill me!" I muttered.
Scorpius
"Did you see her face though Scor?" Matthew laughed, tears in his eyes "It was an absolute picture"
"Im glad you enjoyed the show" I smirked and took a small bow.
"You will have to get along this year, Scor. You won't be setting a good example as Head Boy and Mcgonagall just won't stand for it" Albus replied, his face perfectly straight.
"Yeah you're right, best not upset old frosty nickers" I
"Come on, Al, this is the first time you haven't laughed at your cousin's misfortune," Matthew said, his laughter slowly coming to an end.
"Yeah, because I'd like to see the day my cousin and best friend could stay in the same room without either duelling, verbally abusing, or hexing each other," Albus said rather sternly.
"But you have to admit...her face was a picture," Matthew said through chuckles, standing up.
"You have to apologize to her, Scor," Albus said, also standing up.
"Don't ou have rounds with her tonight?" Matthew asked, raising an eyebrow
"What time is it?" I asked sternly, getting up hastily.
"Twenty past seven," Albus replied cooly, followed by "Oh yeah, Rose wanted me to tell you that rounds start at seven...sorry, Scor."
"I'm late" I groaned, running my hand through my hair clenching my jaw, thinking of the mouthful of abuse I will be getting when I finally arrive.
"She'll probably kill you so it was nice to be acquainted with you mate" Matthew said, patting me on the back.
"Apologise to her, Scor!" Albus shouted as I ran down the corridor. I shook my head.
Rose
"You're late," I growled at him.
"Hey, Weasley, how's the hair?" he said without hesitation and winked at me. I pulled a face and then just shook my head. I was already embarrassed enough today, not that I couldn't beat his arse in any dual he would throw at me, I was simply tired of conflict. Or at least tired of it for today.
"Oh, no come back? Ran out already?" he raised an eyebrow and then laughed. "To think I was going to get my arse hexed in to oblivion for being late. You gone soft on me, Weasley?"
"No," I said in annoyance "It's for Al; he really wants us to get along, but that doesn't mean I'm not mad at you for being late"
"Yeah, I know," he said quite softly. "But, Wesley..." He ran a hand through his hair smirking as I looked up at him.
"Yes what do you want, Malfoy?" I said in irritation
"Blue hair really did suit you." He started to laugh at me as my face turned a hot pink in anger.
"I'm trying to actually get along with you, Malfoy. Don't test me." I muttered.
"Sorry" he muttered, I almost couldn't hear him. I looked up at him to see if he had that sarcastic look on his face that said 'sorry but I'm not actually that sorry because I'm finding it rather hilarious winding you up' Instead, he stared down at me rather innocently and for the first time I noticed how blue his eyes were, just like tiffany stained glass.
Merlin, I can't be thinking that.
"Weasley?" He smirked down at me again. "What's the matter? See something you like?" He raised an eyebrow.
"You" I said dreamily and then I scoffed quickly and laughed "You have a huge ego, you know that right?"
"Actually, I do know that." He grinned, and then came out with such a Malfoy thing to say it almost made me vomit "That's not the only thing girls have told me is huge".
We walked around the school in silence for a while. I was still so angry about what had happened this morning. As if through my whole schooling life I hadn't been bullied enough for my hair being so ginger and curly, it was obviously the easiest thing for him to target. (Not that I'm bullied for it anymore, I have learnt how to control my crazy hair and puberty did me some huge favours, thank you Mother Nature) But he's a Slytherin, it's what they do. They hunt like animals, targeting their prey's weakest point and then attacking. I couldn't really expect much else from him.
"So, I think Al is right," Scorpius began.
"What?" I asked him, rather shocked.
"I think Al is right. We're living in the same dorm for a year, have to do rounds together, and I will probably be around your house for Christmas like I am every year...So what do you say?" He slapped me on the back, making me jump forwards and yelp slightly.
"What exactly are you proposing?" I folded my arms looking up at him.
"Well...that I—that we try to get along? You know, for Al's sake. Not a friendship more like a truce, I still don't like you Weasley"
"And I don't think I will ever be your number one fan, Malfoy. But for Al's sake, I will attempt this truce" walking ahead of him slightly, I noticed something on the floor shining just halfway up the corridor. I went to go pick it up.
"No, no doing that" he mumbled, almost running to catching up with me.
"Doing what? I was just going to picking this ring up and put it in the lost property box" I laughed at him shaking my head.
"That bending over thing, just- I'll get it you just carry on walking" he waved me along, confused I continued walking. I then edged my skirt down a little bit, the thought of my childhood enemy staring at my arse as I awkwardly walked away creeped me out slightly.
