Warning, mentioned suicide and much sadness. Please don't read if this could serve as a trigger. I don't own these guys, I just kidnapped them. I'll put them back after.
Finally. The day had come. The door was completed. Now he could visit her again. He reaches for the doorknob and hesitates.
"Go get 'em Sully." He glances back at his partner and best friend. Mike nods encouragingly and he turns back to the door. He turns the knob, takes a breath, and pushes. It's exactly the same, is his first impression. Only it isn't. Something's off. Her toys, he realizes. They're gone and the drawings are different and... and... it't not the same at all!
"What are you doing here?" The voice from the bed is slightly accusing. Sully looks up to see a raven-haired teenager watching him.
"It's me Boo. It's Sull- Kitty."
"First off, my name's Mary. Secondly, why are you back?"
"W-what?"
"You shouldn't be back! It took YEARS of therapy to convince me that you weren't real! YEARS! And now you come back and destroy all the progress I've made! You're not allowed to be back! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" She's near hysterics now.
"Boo..." he tries again.
"It's Mary." she replies coldly. Those two little words shatter his heart.
"Fine Boo. I'll go. Don't worry, I won't come back this time." Sully exits the room, trying and failing not to cry. He turns to Mike after softly closing the door behind him.
"Destroy it."
"B-but Sully..."
"Destroy it Mike. She doesn't want to see us again." With those words, Sully turned and walked away. He wouldn't know that his Boo would cry herself to sleep that night. He wouldn't know when she plunged back into the monster craze she'd tried so hard to escape. He wouldn't know that a girl named Mary Gibbs would take her own life. He wouldn't know that there was no note found, just a picture of a little girl in a pink nightgown beside a furry blue and purple monster. He wouldn't know that she had signed it Boo. He'd just know that he'd never see his Boo again. Because Sully was a monster of his word, and he never went back.
