Hello. Yes I know I promised a goddess story starring starring the three main characters (well at least as far as I'm concerned) Ayeka, Ryoko and Tenchi but I've put it on hold for a few days so I could put out this poem fic. I swear it'll be out by Tuesday because I accidentally put the story into my storage unit. =(
More than likely the next one I will put out will be a Tenchi/Ryoko fic but until then here is this.
I know I show a partiality for Ayeka and it's true. I relate more to her than I do to Ryoko and I'm sorry if that offends some people. Yes Ryoko's life was no bowl of cherries and yes the emotional abuse she suffered from not having her own ego and being a slave is terrible. But Ayeka lived no rosy life either. Life sets problems in the path of all people, rich or poor, and it's only the character of the person themselves who can tell the true tale. Don't get me wrong, Ayeka can be and is wrong sometimes but then so is Ryoko. And by the way, those who excuse Ryoko's behavior can also excuse Ayeka's. After all they are just two very different outcomes of one experience.

Demons
She smiles and laughs
Though she's dying inside
By agonizing inches.
Sometimes she turns quiet
Brooding over her life
Scribbling it into her poetry.
She puts her heart into singing
Off key though it is when she's happy
Lightening her soul when she's sad
And needs a lift.
Only faint sign linger outside
On the exterior
To show the war raging inside.
The demons she thought
That had been pacified, awaken,
To renew their hold upon her
Visit their tortures upon her weighted soul.
She wins free to chain them
Wanting them to trouble her no more.
