Tanitha Oakwood, as you could say, wasn't a very selfish girl. Sure, she was from a Slytherin family, and sure, they were all self centered twits, but young Tanitha just wasn't one of those people. She honestly thought her parents were having a laugh as a child, and laughed along with them at their cruel jokes. Now, though, she wondered how on earth they were funny. But hey, we're getting too deep into this. We'll go meet Tanitha now, or, as she prefers to be called, "Tanya"
"Tanya! Tanya? Tanya! Open this door now!"
Tanya shook her head free of the fluff from her pillow, and opened her door. Her mother stood at the door, already dressed and ready.
"What are you doing, mum?" asked Tanya curiously. "Where are we going?"
"Oh, you silly girl," Laughed her mother, in a tinkly tune. "We're going to King's Cross!"
Everything suddenly clicked for Tanya.
"Hogwarts!" Tanya cried, her face suddenly lit up. "It's my first day! Oh, goodie goodie! I can't wait to meet all my new friends!" She paused. "And my teachers.. And those morons.. And the-"
"Don't be such a downer!" Her brother came marching past her mother in the doorway. "God, you look a sight, Tan! Your hair's sticking up everywhere. Better get ready, or we'll just leave you behind!"
"Shut up, Dyl," She said, flicking him. "It's my first day, don't make me feel like sh- crap!"
"TANYA!" Mrs. Oakwood stared at her daughter. "Don't be cheeky, young madam. I'd button that lip if I were you."
Tanya stared at her mother, then pushed her brother out of the room and shut the door on both of them.
Tanya sat at her dressing table and stared in the mirror. Sighing, she waved her wand and fixed her hair. It was loose, with a braid going across the crown of her head. With a another flick of her wand, her nightgown turned into a beautiful crimson dress, going down to the knees at the front, and down to her ankles at the back. It had an elasticated golden band around the waist, keeping the skirt nice and flowy whilst the torso being not showing too much, but tight at the same time. She tucked some matching rosebuds into her hair and put on golden heels. What is Dylan gonna say about this dress? She thought, smirking. She made her way downstairs, golden bangles jangling on her left wrist and golden feather earring dangling from her ears.
"Tanya, You do know-" Her brother Dylan started, before taking a step back, then another. "You look.. Ready.. Shall we go, then?"
Tanya smirked. "Of course, my dear brother. Of course."
They stepped out of the door and Tanya looked at her 5 story manor.
"I'll miss you," She whispered softly. "I'll be back soon."
The moment she looked away from her beloved home, she suddenly raised her wand and yelled "ACCIO CASE!"
"Goodness, Tan.. Now that I look at you properly, you're wearing the Gryffindor colours!" Exclaimed her brother. "At this rate, you'll be in Gryffindor!" Dylan acted as though Gryffindor was a dirty house. He flicked his wand, and her dress because emerald green, and the gold became silver. The bangles now had silver snakes entwined around them. She had to admit, it was pretty cool.
But it was too much. She flicked her wand at her dress, and she regained the crimson & gold colour. Under the glare of Dylan, she kept the snakes prominent. She looked pretty fucking badass, she had to admit.
