A Tribute to the Dead
Cold screams echoed. Ragged breathing was heard. Sweat trickled down his forehead. He panted heavily.
It was a cloudless night. The moon was glowing in all its glory. The crystal ball cast a warm glow on the window of the unlit room, the ray of light passing through the thin sheet of glass. The silhouette arched its form and fell atop another figure.
A smile graced the bespectacled lad's lips as he saw the smile that the tensai wore. Such a soft smile, he thought, as he traced the contours of the hazel-haired lad's face.
But, a few moments after, tears, as if pearls, began to cascade slowly down his cheeks.
He held Fuji's lifeless body and closed the distance between them in a swift move.
He hoped that the kiss would give him warmth like what it had given him before.
However, it didn't. For it would remain to be true.
Fuji was dead.
And there was nothing he could do about that.
