Do you think that we are shadows?

We are fragments of who we once were, cursed to live with the consequences of our actions, cursed to live with our past and what it held. We haunt that of our past, and are little more than wisps of air that travel each day in a haze, turning more and more into a ghost every day.

Do you think that we are demons?

We slay and murder innocents and evil alike, destroying our humanity as we become nothing more than paws to the gods who live above us. We kill ourselves with every slash of a sword, with every shoot of an arrow, with every blood-stained gaze that turns us into monsters.

Do you think that we are heroes, mortal gods?

We rid the world of darkness as our sanity crumbles away, as our reputation is risen to Olympus and beyond and as we feel as though we are falling to Tartarus, with no hope of ever getting out.

Do you think that we are deformed, we are freaks?

We have abilities beyond mortal reckoning, with powers that some would deem as 'witchcraft', 'work of the devil', even 'cursed'. We have been outcasts all our life, and now nothing has changed- we are considered unique, different, in a place that is meant to be a haven for people like us.

Do you think that we are demigods?

Hey guys! I know that this was kinda (really) random, but lately I've noticed that all I post is either a chapter of Born Damned or a submission to the Camp Half-Blood forum. And, you know, that's great and all, but I don't want to be simply defined by that- I want to post more, I don't want to have to only continue ping-ponging between the two, hence the reason for this. Yes, this is a bit short, but it's meant to be that way.

Anyway, the reason behind this is simply because I honestly feel that the demigods, especially the 'Heroes of Olympus' would probably struggle with their identity for a while, and this is what resulted of it. Take the message as you will, but I hope that you do take something from this, at least.
