Summary: This is basically just the pro-loge to later chapters. Our girls have continued with Sphere hunting and during one such mission, Paine is killed. Rikku begins going insane or at least that is what everyone believes. Sorry for the extreme shortness. The chapters will be a lot longer.

The dark haired black mage sat almost alone in the small room. Her arms protectively wrapped round the tiny other occupant as it cooed incoherent drabble as babies often do. Filling the emptiness with imaginary words and phrases only children understand. The wind was blowing from the east, as warm as ever, carrying the sea upon its sleeve. Lu-lu, past Guardian to Ex-summoner Yuna, now a house wife and mother. The ironic thought swept the delicate edges of her mouth into that invisible smile.

The world seemed lost in the changes taking place since Vegnagun's defeat nearly 3 months prior. Absorbed in the erratic rhythm pulsing in the veins of every Spirain. They danced to the wild beat, crafting exotic new steps from the ruble of the past. In a way it swayed like some Al bhed night club, though few wanted to admit the resemblance. Even with the new ways, that old hate still lingered like dust settling. It might always be there. Still in the grand picture the world was caught up in the same idea. They were building a better Spira.

However it was shaped though, the tropical climate island of Besaid remained untouched. Refusing to fall prey to the altering times.

Lu-lu let the air fill her with the warmth of the course heat. Aware of the baking sand that would always tease her pale skin, of the turquoise sea that caressed the beaches. The wind carried it and here, in the hut, it mixed with an exotic taste of leather and lavender. Her scent. The two blended like soul-mates in a single dance, complimenting each other perfectly.

Hearing someone enter the hut, she broke the spell lifting her eyes to expose those deep crimson orbs. They came to regard the figure leaning on the entry-way frame. There stood the second man she loved, reddish-orange hair and tanned skin indicating him as a native of Besaid. The look in his usually mirth filled gaze however was distant and afflicted. He hadn't looked like that since…

"Wakka what's wrong?"

"The girls gonna be coming to Besaid, Ya. Something's happened"
