Summary: A woman drenched in the rain.
She stood on the outside looking in. The unjust nature of destiny swallowing her whole. The tempest around her ravaged but was merely a gentle breeze and light rain compared to the sweltering tempest within her soul. She was a beauty desired like the rarest of jewels. Envied like the goddess she was. Her porcelain flesh as flawless and smooth as silk spun from the finest threads. Her hair a golden coif cascading like the swell and fall of the tides. Her eyes a beautiful molten gold. Her voice as Gentle and soothing as the angel's chime. She was an immortal beauty, filled with elegance and grace. Other's looked at her with envy and she fanned the flames. For if their flames burn they choke upon their own smoke and leave nothing but cinders. They would never realize her truth. That she herself was burdened with envy. That she stood watching as the little boy ran into another woman's arms. The boy calling her mommy, and whispering "I love you" as she tucks him into bed. That the woman walked into the man's embrace whispering her own "I love you" as they depart to bed. As she stands there looking inside she feels arms wrap around her in an embrace cold as ice yet burning and sweltering with promises of True love, protection, and understanding. She saw the child in the man, but as he became stronger she saw the truth. That he saw the child in her heart. And as she stood looking in from the outside in his embrace she let the rain do what her body could not. She let it weep for her. Shed tears for her. For as she stood there from the outside looking in she did the only thing she could and envied the people within. Whispering of barters to trade away her youth, her beauty, her grace, her power to only bare a child for him. Because only in his arms, could she forget that she is drenched in the rain. Only in his arms could she forget that she was on the outside looking in.
