Parvati's eyes widened In horror, her hand instantly brought to her cheeks. She could feel the flow of blood pour down her face. Her eyes narrowed as she cast a Body-Bind spell towards her attacker. She ran, trying to get inside Hogwarts for cover. While she ran, she received a gash on her left arm and somehow sprained her ankle. She limped and fell against a nearby wall.
"Are you okay?" Neville asked, carrying what seemed to be more dangerous plants. His face was dirty with blood and dirt.
"Yeah, I'm fine,"she smiled off his concerns.
He looked unsure but nodded as he headed back to join the fight. In all truth, Parvati had never seen him so strong and brave before. She laughed bitterly. War. It changed people.
"Episkey," she muttered, pointing to all her injuries. She took a few moments to compose herself before standing up. It didn't hurt as badly as it had before. She quickly joined the fight again.
"Stupefy!" She screamed as a Death Eater was nearing Cho. She quickly made her way to the other girls side. "Are you okay?"
"Thanks, I needed that," the other girl admitted. "Just bruised up, but that will heal."
Parvati nodded and they were back to dueling soon. She had never been the kind of girl to hex others willingly but now it seemed to be second nature. She wasn't sure whether Voldemort would win or if they would win, all she truly focused on was staying alive.
Fight.
Fight.
Fight!
That was the only thought that pounded through her head. All around her people fell. Good ones and horrible ones. All hope seemed lost. Harry was dead. It was terrible to see one of her classmates look so still.
"Parvati!"
She turned to the familiar voice. She would recognise that voice anywhere. It was her other half. Her sister. She let our a breath of relief, she didn't even know she was holding.
"I'm so happy I know you're alright! I was worried sick!" Padma ran towards her looking happier than ever. It was the smile of relief and thankfulness.
Parvati opened her mouth to speak when Padma's face contorted to one of fear and horror. She fell to the side painfully. Parvati looked with dizziness as a Death Eater grinned proudly over Padma. Parvati willed herself to move but her legs became stiff. With a tremendous effort, she ran forward. She began to scream spell after spell but the Death Eater blocked most of them and the others weren't strong enough. She was scared. Absolutely terrified. She was utterly desperate. The Cruciatus Curse was almost out of her mouth when a loud voice was heard.
"He's alive! Harry's alive!"
The Death Eater glanced at Padma before running to where Voldemort and Harry were. She thanked God as she reached Padma's side. She wasn't fatally injured. She was hurt on her side with blood coming out but not so much as to die from blood loss. She was also stunned.
"Don't worry," Parvati mummured as she spoke the counter spells. "I'm here."
Padma nodded, her voice strained. "Who's winning?"
Parvati glanced over where the big showdown was happening. "I think Harry is. Now hush and let me help you."
Parvati healed Padma in silence, just enjoying the moment. Her sister was fine and so was she. For now, she could block out the battle and not worry. They were going to be just fine.
She was sure of it.
