Okay, this is going to be a one-shot. I wrote it at twelve in the morning. It's fueled from something I read about the Berlin Wall in my human geography book, and how this woman was visiting it and remembering when it was still up. I don't know~ w Sleepy thoughts? Enjoy, I suppose~ ouo

They felt it coming. The want, the need was built into a frenzy by the people, fueled by the nations who represented them.

They dreaded it.

They craved it.

A cry arose from the East; it was done. They got their wish. The Wall was falling.

A sea of people rushed forth, the soldiers unable to stop them without harming, perhaps killing, innocent beings. Ruby eyes watched as a small child, a stuffed once-white rabbit in tow, stumble, almost fall, before her mother quickly righted her and propelled the girl forward. So many people, such a rush of emotions, but—

A shock ran through bonded souls, gazes locking, each frozen, seemingly suspended in time. Icy blue and fiery red clashed swirling together in a never ending pit; whether it twirled up or down, neither had that answer.

Tears, cries of joy, were all around, years of being apart and now reunited again. A cause for celebration, rejoice… a cause for grief. So long, the two had fought to hold off this moment. The beautiful, wondrous moment where they were reunified; brothers together at last… only to have it be ripped away from them by the cruel hands of fate.

Nether knew who moved first. Perhaps they both did, across the vast sea of people that separated East Germany from West. The two met in the middle, strong arms of the West surrounding the now frail East.

"Bruder—" Gilbert tried to say, but already, he was fading, soon to be just another gust of wind.

"Gilbert… East, ich liebe dich, bruder," Ludwig said in a desperate attempt to slow the inevitable; he wasn't ready—they had just reunited!

"Ich… liebe dich… Westen… Deutchland… Ludwig..." said the quieting voice until finally, the albino was gone, until the Berlin Wall fell, until East and West became one… and until Prussia died.
