"Shane?" Reed asked carefully as he turned onto his side to face the dancer. "Yeah Reed?" Shane breathed out, his breath forming as mist in the air. "Do you ever wonder what's up their?" Shane frowned at the sky and rolled over to lean on his elbow so that he could properly look at Reed. "Do you mean like alien's?" Reed rolled his eyes and gave shane a light push, this sent Shane lying flat on his back again. Reed, being Reed however managed to somehow slip and ended up lying onto of his boyfriend. He blushed furiously as he found their lips mere inches apart. He could feel Shane's cold breath on his face and fluttered his eyes subconsciously.
Shane parted his lips slightly as he took in everything that was simply put 'Reed'. "You mean angels?" Shane said absently as he searched Reed's eyes. The dangerously uncoordinated painter smiled genuinely. "Yeah, sort of."
They stayed like that for a good few minutes, basking in one an others presence and close proximity. Reed shivered suddenly and brought Shane back from his Reed-induced trance. "Your cold." He stated blankly. Reed just laughed. "A bit."
The curly haired painter let out a gasp as Shane wrapped his hands around him and pulled Reed close. His warm skin left goosebumps on his skin, not the kind from the cold either. "Better?" The dancer whispered as Reed lay on his chest and listened to his smooth heartbeat. "Yes." He said barely audible as he drank it all in.
"Shane?" Reed hesitantly asked a while later. "Hmm." Shane hummed contently. "Before, i meant like, heaven." He stumbled his words somewhat. Shane opened his eyes and looked down at the smaller boy. "Are you worried about it?" Reed opened his mouth to reply but something in him told the fashionista not to dodge this question. "Y-maybe." He settled on. He felt Shane vibrate beneath him slightly as he chuckled. He then sat up, pulling Reed up with him. He placed a hand on other side of Reed's shoulder and looked into his eyes in all the seriousness the world must have. "Reed Van-Kamp." Reed felt his breath hitch at the sincereness in Shane's swimming eyes but had absolutely no intention of interrupting him. "I am extremely confident that we will both go up there one day." He gestures up to the dark sky, alit only by the thousands of twinkling stars they'd been gazing at earlier on.
"I believe, that it doesn't matter what or who you are, if your a good person then-." He cut himself off and gestures around the two of them. He didn't need to say anymore. If Shane was an inanimate object he would be a book, an open book. "Thanks." Reed whispered into the somehow perfect silence. "No problem." Shane smiled that goofy smile that Reed loved so much and then suddenly Reed found himself crashing his lips onto Shane's. His boyfriend widened his eyes a little in surprise, up until now Reed hadn't made any of the first advances but he soon relaxed into his gentle hold.
Reed felt his lids flutter closed as he and Shane shared a passionate moment that was secrecy and all theres. "I love you." Reed muttered against Shane's red-pink lips. They pulled back smiling beautifully and flushed pink through a mixture of the cold and the kiss. "I love you to." Shane said with a puppy dog twinkle to his eyes, and then he tackle-hugged him to the crowd. "Shane!" Reed got out past the laughter bubbling from his lips. Shane mimicked him. "Reed!" Reed just shook his head. "Honestly Anderson, what am i going to do with you." Shane seem to thin this over before he answered. "Not hit me when i say something incredibly cheesy?" Reed raised an eyebrow at the amazingly cute boy. "Love me?" Shane said.
They spent the rest of the night laughing at the stars.
