A/N:
Wow, I haven't published anything in so long. I'm really sorry, guys. Please take a look at my profile, I have some important stuff you need to read if you like my writing. And if you're too lazy to go read it, I'll post it here. This is a direct quote.
....I will NOT be writing anymore Twilight fics. All of my currents fics will not be updated. I'll leave them up because they are what got me into writing in the first place. I will be working on other fandoms such as Kuroshitsuji, Supernatural, Warcraft, The Gemma Doyle trilogy, Harry Potter, etc..."
Please check my profile for more.
Anyway, ON WITH THE SHOW. :D

"Twilight Town, the bane of my existence." Axel growled in his head. "And to think, I wouldn't be here if wasn't for that brat."
Nine.
The two had met in this... this afterlife. Axel awoke to a white room, cold and alone. Well, he thought he was alone. As he sat up, disorientated and shivering, he heard the quiet sobs of the Nocturne. He was crying because he was scared. Scared. Since then the two stuck together, getting out of the giant maze of the mansion they awoke in, and traveling in this new world. They shared emotions; fear, excitement, sadness, and love. Yes, they were in love. Fire and water. They spent most of their time in Atlantica, because the kid really loved water. After two weeks of Axel's constant complaining that it was like throwing Demyx in a volcano (Demyx thought that was a big exaggeration), they decided to pay a visit to Twilight Town. Now, you should have seen Axel's face on the way. All smiles as he thought of the air, the land, and just the fact that it would be dry. You can imagine how upset he was when they got there and it was pouring down rain. It was completely deserted, too, but that was to be expected in this afterlife. Everything was deserted.
Of course Demyx was thrilled. He jumped from puddle to puddle, squealing in childish delight. Axel followed solemnly, his hood pulled tight to his face. Some drops of water still touched the skin, though, and hissed as they turned to steam. "Dem, why don't we find somewhere dry?" Axel suggested for the third time. Demyx just ignored him, giggling as he found a particularly large puddle that covered his whole foot.
"Fine," Axel growled, and trudged up a small hill, plopping down on a doorstep with an awning, leaning back against the door. He closed his eyes, figuring he'd rest until the rain let up. A few minutes passed before soft footsteps approached, and Axel opened his eyes to see Demyx's face inches from his own. Axel gave a yelp, and Demyx laughed.
"Did I scare you, silly?" he asked. He held a hand out to the redhead, who took it hesitantly. Demyx pulled him up in a fluid motion, pulling him close. He put one hand behind the taller man's back, grabbing his hand in the other. They spun in quick circles, rain pouring down on both of them and steam rising not only as they touched, but as the rain dripped onto Axel's face. Demyx buried his head into Axel's neck, their circles getting slower until they finally seized, and they stood just swaying slightly, dancing to the silent music. Axel brought a hand up to Demyx's soaking hair awkwardly, and Demyx looked up at his face and smiled.
"I love you, Axel." he said softly, and pressed his lips to Axel's, and Axel pushed back, coaxing Demyx's lips open. He obliged, and the kiss deepened. As they broke apart, steam rolled lazily out of their mouths, and they smiled.
"I love you, too," Axel whispered.
