Toboe stirred in the middle of the night. He wanted to play. He walked over to the sleeping Hige. "Hey-" He tugged at Hige's sleeve. "What?" Hige grumbled, rolling over. "Come on, let's do something!" Toboe jumped up and down. "Shut up. It's freakin' 12:00 at night. I'm not gonna play with you now," Hige said.

Toboe ignored this and tossed a pillow at Hige. "Ouch! What the taco was that for?" Hige exclaimed, rubbing the back of his head. Toboe giggled. "Let's go outside or something!" he suggested happily. "No," Hige muttered, pulling the covers over his head. Toboe pulled the covers off of him. "Toboe!" Hige moaned. Toboe jumped on the bed. "Come on, man. Give it up." Hige moved onto the floor and pulled the blanket over him again. "Hige," Toboe said in a sing-songy voice. "What?" Hige snapped, looking up. "Let's play," he said. "Shut up," Hige replied. Toboe climbed into bed. "You're mean," he whined. "Jeez, you're getting annoying," Hige mumbled under his breath. Toboe tossed the pillow at Hige again. "Just go back to sleep!" Hige said firmly, and whacked Toboe with the pillow. "Meanie," Toboe shot back.

"What's going on?" Tsume mumbled from his bed. "Toboe's being so dang annoying," Hige said angrily, looking at Toboe. "Go to sleep, Toboe. It's not even light out yet," Tsume said. "I know, I know." Toboe sunk into the covers. Soon everyone was asleep again. He got up. He would go play outside, he supposed.
