Disclaimers:  I don't own FF8 and I didn't entirely come up with the idea for this.  It came from a little dialogue Black Soul told me about.  It's plotless, pointless and hilarious.  You should enjoy this.

Squall exited the gift shop feeling crestfallen.  It was possibly only days before the SeeD field test, and he was positive he was going on an incredibly unlucky streak.  He had searched almost all of Balamb for the elusive lucky rabbits feet, but it was to no avail.  He could not find them anywhere.

He was about to return to the Garden when he notice one store he hadn't been to; the Balamb Pet Store.

He opened the door and cringed at the cheerful jingle that told the store clerk a customer had entered.  He ignored the puppies and kittens that barked and meowed at the entrance, and proceeded to the front look up and down the aisles for the lucky feet.  To his dismay, he couldn't find them there either.

Not one to give up, Squall approached the front desk and leaned forward.  The store clerk looked at him sceptically.  "Do you have any rabbit feet?" he whispered, embarrassed for needing a good luck charm.

"Can you speak louder?" the clerk asked, unable to hear Squall's whisper.

Squall repeated his request and the clerk looked at him strangely.

"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't sell rabbits feet."

Squall face evidently showed his disappointment.  He looked down at his feet in thought, face now screwed into a thoughtful expression.

Suddenly he looked up, at the clerk, a new purpose in his eyes.  "Do you have any rabbits?"
