"Jack! Toothless! I know you two are here!" Hiccup yelled into the cove. He stomped his way around looking for his supposed best friend and pet dragon. More like headache one and two. Ever since Hiccup had first introduced Jack to him, Toothless had taken somewhat of a liking to the winter spirt. At first, Hiccup was relieved. Noting how Toothless and Jack could be, he had feared the worst. So naturally seeing them get along made him happy. But as time went on, the two seemed to realize they both shared somewhat of a mischievous curiosity. And that lead to a few unfortunate mishaps around the village. This time they found it would be funny to abuse the small fact that only Hiccup and Toothless could see Jack and scare some of the villagers. Hiccup stopped by the edge of the lake scanning the cove. He rolled his eyes and walked over towards some boulders where he could clearly see Toothless's tail sticking out. He walked slowly careful not to make a sound and found his way behind the bolder. Hiccup crossed his arms as he glared at the backs of the two misfits.
"If I may make a suggestion?" he said with slight glee as they both jumped and turned around with terror filled glances,"Next time make sure his tail is completely behind the rock." He finished pointing to Toothless.
"Right..." Jack shot a look at Toothless who in response growled. Hiccup sighed
"Why? Why would you guys do that?" he asked.
"Oh come on Hic. He looked so bored and we were just trying to have a little fun." Jack shrugged off.
"Fun? Fun?! Jack, half the village is convinced the 'undergarment ghost' is going to curse the whole island!" Jack burst out laughing.
"Is that what they're calling us? The Undergarment Ghost?!" he chuckled. Hiccup quickly walked over to Jack and thumped him on the head.
"Ow! What was that for?" Jack complained loudly.
"Jack Frost it is NOT funny! My dad is going through a nightmare right now, trying to calm everyone down and when he's not happy-" Hiccup cut off and sighed, "Just...just don't do it again please. Alright?" he asked giving Toothless a small pet and sending Jack a pleading look. Jack swallowed and ran a hand through his hair.
"A-alright...uh I'm sorry, Hiccup..." he apologized looking down. Hiccup felt his anger deflating and relaxed his position.
"It's fine...frostflake." Hiccup added tauntingly.
"Frostflake? Please stick to training dragons, twig." Jack shot back looking up with a grin. Hiccup scoffed.
"Excuse me? Twig? Are you trying to pick a fight with a viking?" Jack looked around.
"Viking? Where? I don't see anyone but you, me, and Toothless." Hiccup gasped.
"Oh you crossed the line now, Frost." Jack laughed and quickly floated away.
"Can't do anything about if you can't catch me!" Hiccup looked over at Toothless who crouched ready to play.
"We'll see about that! Come on, bud!" Hiccup hopped on Toothless and raced after Jack, his best friend.
