A/N Just what the summary says. A short overly fluffy one-shot where Emma saves Ruby from a big scary spider.

"Oh my god!" Ruby let out a little cry, scuffling backwards and grabbing the desk she bumped into.

"What?" Emma shoved her chair behind her, navigating her way around the somewhat crowded station. To where Ruby was standing looking like she had just had a run in with the boogie monster.

"Kill it." Ruby grimaced, hiding behind the blonde, and pointing to a spot on the ground. A hand gripping Emma's hip to keep her from leaving her all alone in the face of this monster she was perceiving.

The sheriff was desperately trying to ignore the way the hand on her hip was making her feel all nervous, and drawing a lot of her attention to its self. Instead she focused her attention on the floor where Ruby was pointing.

"Kill what?" Emma asked, attempting to step around the brunette so she could show her what she wanted dead. But Ruby seemed dead set to keep herself firmly planted behind Emma. Her fingers curling into one of the blonde's belt loops to restrain her from much movement.

"Do you mean the spider?" Emma's frown of confusion twitched up into a smile at the realization. Taking a step forward, pulling Ruby closer to the arachnid as she did so. Which the waitress did not seem to agree with, making her release who she had been hoping would be her savior.

The blonde scooped the little black eight legged creature from the ground. Ruby let out a small wince like sound.

"Ruby it's more scared of you than you are of it." Emma teased. The spider crawling over one of her fingers, she offered the hand with it clinging onto her to Ruby. Who took a step back, bumping back into the desk.

"No Emma, Emma just kill it." She groaned. Throwing up an arm to shield herself from the, in her mind, monster. Emma bit her lip to hide a smile, the second grade boy in her insisting on torturing her crush, she took a step closer. Hand containing the spider still held out to her. "Noooo. Kill it."

"Okay, whatever you say." Emma mock bowed to the brunette, before dumping the creature out the window behind her. Offering the now empty hand up for inspection. Ruby took the hand and turned it over in hers.

"Thank you." The brunette gave Emma one of those wide bright smiles that sent butterflies fluttering in her belly. Then a kiss on the cheek.

Which made Emma turn bright pink, and stutter out a 'Th-th-thank you.' While wondering what else she could do to get Ruby to be thankful enough to give her another.

A/N Reviews from you to me, are like cheek kisses from Ruby to Emma.
