Unwise Goddess of Wisdom
Percy Jackson was scared.
He was scared because he had the goddess of wisdom staring him down.
Athena was wondering why the puny son of Poseidon requested to see her so suddenly but she had known it had to do with her daughter Annabeth.
Percy was the first one to speak, "I know you don't like me very much, but I love your daughter very much."
The look the goddess was sending him made the twenty-five year old turn his gaze towards his fathers' throne.
The goddess raised her eyebrow before saying, "Where is this going Perseus?"
"I came here today to ask your permission for me to ask Annabeth to marry me." He replied finally looking at the goddess in the eyes, the grey eyes that reminded him of the daughter of Athena who had captured his heart.
The goddess was silent for a few moments before replying, "As you know Perseus, I do not like the danger you have put my daughter in over the years, and I do not like your father."
Percy looked down at the floor.
"But," Percy's head shot up to look at Athena mouth agape "you make my daughter happy Perseus, happier than I have ever seen her. I also know you two love each other very much, so I give you my permission"
Percy stood there in shock taking the information in before smiling and saying, "Thank you Athena, you have no idea how much this means to me."
He bowed then made his way towards the doors of the throne room.
"Perseus" he stopped in his tracks and turned towards the goddess a questioning look in his eyes.
"If you do anything to hurt my daughter you will face a faith worse than death."
Percy smiled before replying, "For the goddess of wisdom you really aren't that wise if you even think I'd ever hurt her."
He then left the room leaving a dumbstruck goddess behind on her throne.
