She had broken it off.

Lily and Lysander were no longer girlfriend and boyfriend.

Scorpius' body became warm, soft, numbed. It tickled, tingled.

But then the reality struck him – now he had to do something.

He had to kick that Slytherin out of him.

Pull at least some bravery out.

Lysander was brave. That jerk. Gryffindor, golden, red, loyal, sword.

He almost had to stalk her for a while.

Before he met her, alone.

He thought he was going to throw up.

But then she smiled. The smile of all smiles.

"Let's meet in Hogsmeade?"

He nodded.
