A/N: Wow, am I the only one who is going to do a Minto and Zakuro one-shot? I decided on the pairing because I obviously, with a passion, hate Yuri. Therefore, I thought I would challenge myself with something I rather abhor. That'n I am tired of writing about Ichigo. ;p

-: This is My Game Face :-

She was in excruciating pain. The deep wound in Minto's back bled profusely. Minto's vivid blue lorikeet eyes twinkled in dissonancy, as the horrid screaming from Pudding rang throughout her ears. Minto couldn't see it. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't see the unspeakable Chimera Anima who was attacking her team. The Chimera Anima was silent but so very precarious. Minto could hardly breath. Minto could hardly move. Above all else, Minto's vision was slurred. She could only hear her friend's anguish. She could only stand in one place and ultimately wait for her demise.

"Help… me Ichigo-…Onee-Chan! Plea…se…" Pudding gasped timorously, sending an unwanted chill down Minto's spine. Pudding sounded as she was being asphyxiated and stabbed from the inside. There was no response from Ichigo, so that must've meant something horrible had happened to her. Minto didn't hear Lettuce's or Zakuro's voice either. Minto could take the burning pain in her back. She could even take hearing Pudding's pleas for help. However, just the thought of loosing Zakuro brought astringent tears to her eyes. Minto knew if Zakuro died, she would die. The way Minto saw it, living a life without Zakuro is like living a life without tea.

However, she couldn't do anything. She was helpless. Tears started to roll down Minto's rosy cheeks. She tried to blink a few away, but the onslaught of tears kept raining out of her eyes.

"Please Zakuro-Sama… Please be ok…" Minto whispered in-between silent sobs. Pudding was now silent, and that made her cry like mad. Ryou's new prototype Chimera Anima was too strong. It destroyed the Café, and possibly murdered the scientist himself. It viscously rampaged throughout the city, destroying what ever came in its way. They tried to stop it. Really, they gave it their all.

'It wasn't enough…" Minto thought, pessimistic views quickly overtaking her mind. The city around her was drenched in a crimson color, cadavers scattered throughout the city.

"Reborn… Zakuro Pure!"

Even in pain, Minto's once sad eyes were now filled with hope. With help from squinting a bit, Minto saw a blurry purple like figure. A bright purple light shown, but then, even after that, the purple blur kept moving expeditiously.

"Zakuro-Sama!" Minto yelled in absolute trepidation. "Where… where are you?! Please, run!"

"Minto-Chan…" Spoke Zakuro in a voice full of apathy. The culprit for the multiple deaths seemed to wrapped in Zakuro's whip. However, it would be long before the black shadowy shaped figure broke out of its trap. Minto was wounded dramatically, her face hanging on her head on a mere whim. Zakuro couldn't do anything but stare at her teammate. How could she have let this happen? How could this have gone so far? For the first time, the Chimera Anima screeched. It instantly broke out of Zakuro's whip and lashed at the two hybrid girls.

"Lets go together… Onee-Sama…"

Before she got to answer, darkness overcame them both.
