Title: It comes from a song by Mumford & Sons, called White blank page. The whole quote and the title: But tell me now, where was my fault?
In loving you with my whole heart.

Okay, so here is my next 'something'. I watched 4x10 and suddenly started shipping those two together. I'm not glad with this Prologue. Next parts won't be very soon to come - I have a lot of work to do - but I'd try to write sooner rather than later. Enjoy! :)

Bonnie was quite strict when it came to choosing friends. She exactly knew what she wanted from people - or not exactly people - that would be close to her. She needed loyalty, reliance, kindness of heart. She could easily find it in each one of her friends. Elena was an example of loyalty and even though many bad things had happened because of her, miss Gilbert always wanted to give others a helping hand. Caroline cared about everyone who wasn't herself. Matt was good-hearted and could always be trusted. Bonnie had had difficulties with giving Stefan a chance. It hadn't been a bad choice when she had finally trusted him.

Choosing men of her life was a different thing, though. She had a thing for strange types. She didn't know it yet, but that was the truth. She had flirted with the guy who had later imprisoned her and her friend. She had had a connection with Luka, a warlock who had just played with her like a toy. Then had come Jeremy. She had thought he was the one. And he had just turned out to be her biggest mistake. Jamie had wanted to repair her broken heart. But he wasn't the one either. He had just disappeared from the picture, leaving Bonnie alone. Again.

She believed she had already got used to this state. Loneliness. Loneliness with her friends around. But those friends had their own problems. There was a cure thing, Elena's vampirism, hybrids and love. Everybody had problems with their love life. Elena had suddenly realised that she had fallen in love with Damon. Stefan was left with a bleeding heart. Caroline, for some unexplained reasons, had been on a date with Klaus. Even Rebecah was looking for love, in her own creepy way. And Bonnie? Bonnie was alone.

And then, in the middle of everything that has been going on, He had appeared. Well, He hadn't exactly appeared out of nowhere, but it seemed like this for her. She had been lost with problems, with magic, with loneliness, with pain. He had given her a helping hand, tutoring her, caring for her mental state, making her able to go through everything that had been going on. And she was grateful for that.

One day, He had given her a bone. And she had saved His life for the first time. That two events had changed everything.

That, and the words 'I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you'.

She had realised that she had started feeling something towards him. But she hadn't realised something else.

That meeting Him was the best and the worst thing that could've ever happened to her.

That what will happen in the future will determine her whole life.

That it will change her, once and for all.

This realisation came a long time later. Too late to come back.

Because there was no coming back.
