Disclaimer: I own everything. Not. I own nothing; Iago and Ichimaru are owned by William Shakespeare and Kubo Tite, respectively

Iago
-
He is a dog - loyal, sturdy, sharp, common, lowly, subservient. He is servant, spy, harbinger, and villain - he's the lackey and mastermind all at once.
We cannot all be masters, nor all masters cannot be truly followed.
He wears a mask. He wears a mask beneath a mask beneath a mask, frozen, fixed in place - and when you think you've ripped off that last mask of his, even then there will only be one gaping chasm, a Void - a black hole that will suck you in, in, in, until you are so twisted and enmeshed within him that you neither begin nor end and so cease to exist.
I am not what I am.
He is nothing. He is everything.
He is mercifully ignorant to your faults, but only so that he may continue driving and twisting that knife deeper into your soul.
I am your own forever.
He loves you. He loves you not.
He loves and hates none but himself, and neither loves nor hates none.
He will ruin you in another's name, and destroy another for your sake, until destruction follows destruction like dominos to Doomsday and none are left standing but himself.
My lord, I take my leave.

Author's Note: Yessss, this is what happens when a person has had too much caffeine to be at ease, too little sleep to maintain sanity, and too much time suddenly at hand. Many factors have contributed to the creation of this drabble, including: a brain a beat away from going into hyperdrive; hours of cramming for an Abnormal Psychology exam; said exam being postponed by one gleefully welcomed Snow Day; and being blessed with THE best Shakespeare professor one can imagine having. Special thanks to Ashu, who lets me bounce ideas off her.
To those who may be wondering; the lines in italics are quotes from Iago in Shakespeare's Othello.
