Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson. Poseidon will turn me into a Jellyfish.
In Which Percy Looses an Important Item and Is Subject to Mockery
"What are you doing Percy?"
"… Nothing."
"Why is your sword out, seaweed brain?"
Indeed, Percy's sword was on his bed, amidst a pile of sheets. The whole Poseidon cabin seemed like a tornado had visited. Miscellaneous pieces of clothing were strewn on the floor. The shield Tyson had made for Percy was under a bunk. The Minotaur horn was poking out of a dresser. Percy was currently peering under a bunk.
"No reason." Came the muffled reply.
"Did you lose something?"
"…"
"You lost your pen cap(1), didn't you?"
Percy sighed. "You know me too well, Annabeth." He got up and sneezed. "You will not believe the amount of dust this cabin has."
"Oh, I can imagine. After all, you live here." quipped Annabeth.
"Hey!" Percy said indignantly. He gave a playful punch to Annabeth's shoulder. "Are you going to help, or what?"
Annabeth rubbed her shoulder in mock hurt. "Well since you hurt me, oh great one, I shall not offer my services." said Annabeth in a ridiculously high voice.
"You're just jealous. We both know that-"
Annabeth shoved him, hard, onto the bunk. "You're impossible, seaweed brain. You can't even keep track of an essential item, like your pen cap. You'll never get me to help you."
"Oh yeah?"
"…What are you up to?"
"I can be pretty persuasive sometimes…"
And with that he poked his finger into Annabeth's stomach. Before she could help herself, a small giggle escaped her lips. Seeing that his strategy worked, he began tickling at full power. Soon, the cabin was filled with laughter.
"Do you give?" asked Percy.
"Never!"
He ticked harder.
"Do You GIVE?"
"I give, I give!" giggled Annabeth, clutching at a stich at her side.
Percy sat down with a smirk.
When she recovered, she said, "I'm SO getting back at you for that."
"Whatever you say, Wise Girl." grinned Percy.
Annabeth sat down with a thoughtful look. "Did you look in your pockets?"
Percy froze.
Slowly, he reached into the pocket of his hoodie, and brought out a golden pen cap.
"PERCY!"
Campers would later witness a certain Wise Girl chasing a terrified boy, yelling death threats to her prey.
A/N
Did Percy's sword/pen click? Or did it have a cap? I honestly don't know. For the purposes of this story, it's capped.
