A/N this is an alternate ending to Loose Ends. If you've not read the original story you can still read this but it won't make much sense :)

Epilogue

2 Weeks Later

"What the hell Rory?! It's 2 in the morning," Jess grumbled into the phone.

"I know what the time is Jess, believe me. It's our time. It always has been."

"Aren't you supposed to be getting married 12 hours from now?" Jess asked her, confused.

"No." she answered definitively.

"What?" Jess couldn't hide his shock.

"You heard me."

Jess sat up in his bed, rubbing his eyes as he tried to adjust to the darkness and to Rory's words.

"Where are you calling me from?" he asked as the weight of her words began to truly sink in.

The answer came through the intercom.

"Do you want to come for a drive?"

He could hear her voice filling his apartment and without realising he was even moving he found himself standing next to his front door, head resting against the cool box her voice had just come from.

"A drive huh?" he asked as soon as he could trust himself to speak.

"Yep."

"And where do you plan on taking me?"

"Anywhere. Everywhere. I don't know for sure. I haven't decided yet. I just know I want you with me."

Jess pressed the button to let her into the complex. He needed to see her face when they had this conversation.

Jess was standing waiting for her in his open doorway when she stepped out of the lift.

"Hi," she greeted him shyly, suddenly losing the boldness that had carried her to this point.

"Hi," he greeted her warily, still partially asleep, still entirely in love with her.

"So, do you want to come for a drive with me?" she asked him, closing the gap between them.

"Anywhere. Everywhere," he repeated her words back to her as he pulled her into his arms.

Rory tilted her head back to look up into Jess's eyes.

"There was nowhere to go but everywhere, so just keep on rolling under the stars," she quoted Kerouac to him.

Jess stared at her for a few silent moments, his mind still processing her presence. There were missing details waiting to be divulged but there'd be time for that later. Right now he did the only thing that felt right, he held her tightly against his body and kissed her and all the ends they'd thought they'd tied together began to unravel once more but neither of them cared.

They had the rest of their lives to sort out the new mess they were creating.
