Very short story. Hope you enjoy.

Michelle sat down on the edge of the bath and stared at the wall, nodding her head taking in what she had just seen. Her heart was thumping away and she had butterflies in her stomach. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry. But her body didn't let her decide and a small tear crept from her eye and ran down her cheek. Reaching over, she pulled some toilet paper from the holder and dabbed her eyes.

Taking a deep breath and blowing it out in an attempt to calm herself down, she stood up pushing her curls away from her face, and threw the tissue in the bin and then opened the bathroom door and padded into the bedroom. She peeled the covers away from the bed and climbed in, settling down to face her husband who was still asleep.

She stared at him for a few moments, taking in the man asleep in front of her who rendered her breathless with every kiss, made her heart beat so fast at every look and her skin tingle at every touch. Smiling, she then leaned forward and kissed him on the lips ever so softly. Tony opened his eyes slowly to see his wife gazing back at him.

"Happy Birthday sweetheart," she whispered as she stroked his face. Tony smiled and sighed contentedly. He reached up for her hand, took it in his and kissed it.

"Thank you," he replied. "I used to hate birthdays, not a fan of getting old, but I don't mind getting old with you. And he gave her a wink. "So what's the plan for today then wife?"

Michelle propped her head up with her hand and smiled. "Well Tilly will be here at ten, and then we are free to do whatever you want."

"Hmm well I think I'll take a shower and then we could go out for breakfast to start off. Does that sound like a plan honey?"

Michelle looked down at the sheets, "Sure sweetheart, whatever you want."

He took in her distraction. "We can have breakfast here instead, I don't mind making it."

"No, it's not that…"

"Well what are you thinking about? You keep smiling to yourself, I can see it."

Michelle looked back up at Tony but she couldn't look him in the eye. "Oh I'm just thinking about one of your presents."

"Uh-huh, well it must be pretty special if you can't stop smiling nor look me in the eye." Tony chuckled as Michelle's cheek turned a light pink colour at his response. He watched as she pushed back the duvet covers and reached for his hand. Looking him straight in the eyes still smiling, she placed his hand on her stomach.

"Right in here, is present number one," she said softly.

Tony stared back into Michelle's eyes for a few moments trying to take in what she just said. Her eyes were sparkling. "Oh my god," he finally breathed. He began rubbing her stomach. "When did you find out?"

"I took the test not five minutes ago."

"Wow." Tony wrapped his arms around Michelle and pulled her even closer to him. "Best birthday present ever," he whispered before he leant forward to her lips.
