Showing up out of the blue was Katsumi's specialty, or, so she liked to think. Besides that, it was far too easy to sneak around behind the Shinkenger's backs, which, worried her; They were samurai, and it wasn't like she was a ninja or anything. She'd been trailing them every time they came out of the mansion, trying to work up the courage to go over and speak to them.
She knew she could do it, needed to do it, but, every time she was about to, she froze like stone. Every time, and she'd tried a lot.
Which was the exact reason she was sitting here, eating an ice cream cone, and waiting. It couldn't be too long before someone either came back, or left. She wasn't exactly easy to miss, wearing the bright colours she did. Besides, how many times does someone sit in front of the Shiba Mansion like it was the most normal thing in the world. And with ice cream.
A few kuroko had passed her, coming in and out of the mansion, inclining their heads as they passed her, apparently not finding it odd in the least that she was sitting here.
But, as she finished her ice cream cone, she found herself hoping that Nii-Chan would hurry up and come by.
After what felt like hours (But was really only an hour), someone finally came by and noticed Katsumi.
"Excuse me?" The quite, and almost shy, voice came. Katsumi looked up, and quickly stood up. She bowed deeply at the waist, and then looked up, grinning. "Can I help you?" The girl asked. She wore a pair of shorts, with knee high socks, and a yellow jumper over a plain white t-shirt. And with a triangular necklace, with the kanji for Earth (土) written on it.
"Sorry for sitting here like this," She apologized, "I was waiting for someone to come by, of course, I dunno why I figured it would be Nii-Chan." The girl who'd found Katsumi looked over to the boy who was with her, and mouthed something to him. He shrugged, and stuck his hands in the pocket's of his jeans.
"Oh! I should introduce myself, shouldn't I?" Katsumi laughed a bit. She was so forgetful some times, forgetting to introduce herself, or forgetting to bring something with her, things like that. "Hajimemashite, I'm Katsumi. Umemori Katsumi."
Yeah, I know, short first chapter. But! It's just a basic idea, and I'm not going to continue with it if no one likes it, so, review and tell me what you like. I'll post another chapter in a day or so, probably. I'm also going to work on another Shinkenger story I'm writing, called Passing The Torch, but, it's a future one, so... Yeah. Anyway, review, and stuff.
