Just some Hermione being grumpy about stuff. Extra credit for Ancient Runes. Weather can be a jerk sometimes. This is about, seven years before Plans change.

She hates that saying, Weather Permitting. Because around here? That usually means, No. We are not having that party, the weather said no.
She was ready to go, her dress shoes on, her coat in her arms, and then, it starts pouring. Seconds after she leaves she gets a text, 'Party Cancelled' of course.
She glares at the dark gray sky, hoping it would clear up, but alas, it did not.
She gets a call on her cell.
"Hermione?" The voice was just as agitated as she felt. She knew that Ginny had been planning on wooing her potential boyfriend, Viktor Krum, who had been rumoured to be going to the party.
"Yes?" Hermione sighed, she was just tired of the bad weather, it was summer damn it! Be sunny!
"I was thinking of just calling it a day, maybe watch a movie. What about you?" Ginny and Hermione babbled about how they hate the weather, what they would do because of the weather, and what they would do if the damn weather decided to ruin another one of their days. It was not pretty.
After an hour of them ranting to each other, Hermione got a call.
"I'll talk to you later." Ginny promised.
"Hello?" Hermione flopped gracelessly onto the couch.
"Hermione?" It was Ron, what time was it? She checked the clock, 5pm, uh oh. He should be in class.
"Ron, are you okay?" Ron lived in Oregon, and she knew it could be just as bad raining wise where he lived as it was where she did.
"Yeah. My classes were cancelled." He took summer courses, trying to finish school as fast as he could so he could teach.
"What happened?" She glanced out at the rain that was still pouring outside her window.
"Flash flood. We were evacuated just in time, all my books are gone though." He told her.
"Need to talk about it?" She sighed again before curling up with a thin blanket, it was still warm even though it was raining.
"Not really. I just wanted to see if you could send over the spare book I left there a month ago." Ron had visited for Harry's pre-birthday party, unable to come to the actual birthday party because of classes.
"Yeah. I'll just send it over tomorrow. We'll see when it gets there. When do your classes start again?" Hermione inquired.
"Not for another week or two. They need to repair the school before it's safe to let anyone in." The two chatted for another hour before they hung up. Hermione looked around, huffing in frustration.
"Well, hopefully it will be better before work tomorrow." She stated before succumbing to sleep.
When she woke up? It wasn't better.
Flash floods still happen right? I think so.
