Percy P.O.V.

I woke with I start and grabbed Riptide as I heard the door open. I was already up and in fighting stance when I realized it was Annabeth. She was sobbing and soaking wet due to the raging storm outside. The tears that dropped from her stunning gray eyes glistened in the moonlight. I can't believe she had walked here from the Athena cabin in this weather. The storm had caused her princess curls to become a beautiful frizzy mess. I put the cap back on Riptide and stuffed it in my pocket as I walked over and pulled Annabeth into a hug.

"Nightmare?" I asked quietly as I dried her off and wrapped her shoulders in a blanket. She nodded in response like a child. She has been having terrible nightmares ever since she faced Arachne and we went through hell together, literally. "Was it the spider one again?" She cringed at the word spider and I held her closer. She looked up into my eyes with her beautiful stormy gray orbs. She looked breath taking with her raging her pulled up into a ponytail and her flawless face. I pulled her to a long passionate kiss. I pulled away slowly. "I love you, Wise Girl."

"I love you too, Seaweed Brain," she said with a faint smile.

"You wanna stay here tonight?" She nodded yes in reply. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to my bed. I laid her down on my bed, covered her with my blanket, and then crawled in next to her. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close. She wrapped her arms around my neck returning the hug.

"Annabeth, I will never let anyone, anything or any monster hurt you. I will protect you. I love you."

"I love you too, Percy." I kissed her again and we fell asleep in each other's arms.
