Just a little poem I wrote back in high school, inspired by Silent Hill 4: The room. I do not own Silent Hill, nor any of the characters. Those are rightful properties of Konami.
302
There once was a man in 302
A room good enough for me or you
While he should have been happy, for the past five days, it could be not be
For there was something wrong with his apartment. Something that others could not see
From the inside the door was locked with heavy chains
It could not be opened, nor could the window panes.
The phone would not work, or the television
Room 302's occupant was lost, without a decision
Then one day something happened, quite out of the ordinary
A large hole appeared in the bathroom wall, the situation was rather hairy
Not knowing what else to do, the man grabbed a pipe and climbed into a portal
Without realizing that this was something not meant for a mortal
Where he ended up, he couldn't fathom
Was it a subway station? Or some kind of chasm?
Twas not long before he met a woman, looking for a way out
He agreed to help so that she would not pout
As they journeyed through the station
They saw things of unknown creation
Mutated dogs, bloody cadavers, even unfriendly ghost
All they wanted was to leave. It was what they yearned for most
Along the way they became separated
The man searched for his companion, exasperated
Eventually he found the woman in a bloody mess
She had been stabbed repeatedly, she would confess
He held her as she lay dying
His body screamed at him to start crying
Her eyes he closed one final time
And wondered who had committed such a horrible crime
The man soon awoke from an eerie sleep
The room was still, it made no peep
Had everything just been a dream?
No, because at that moment there was an ambulance scream
This is what happens when man should not go
To a world of monsters, decay, where spirits travel too and fro
Some say it's a void one can fill
But I know better. Never travel to Silent Hill.
