"I don't know how to deal with this…" you heard Crona mumble worriedly from behind you.
"Come on, Crona, you can do it. You just told me you could 10 minutes ago!" you said, dragging him along with you.
"But that was before we got here and I saw all of the people here!" Crona exclaimed.
As of just recently, you decided that it would be a good idea to try and get Crona out of his shell. He was just too damn shy sometimes and, to use his words, he just couldn't deal with anything.
"I don't think I like this idea…" he muttered.
"Nonsense! You'll be thanking me when you can finally deal with things." He just whined in response as you pulled him further into the crowded area.
Phase One of your plan was to try and expose him to larger crowds than he was used to so he could at least get used to being around people and be able to handle it. You weren't sure about any of the other phases, but you'd get those details in later. Right now, you were focused on the first part of your course of action.
"Can we go now? This is too much…" Crona said.
"Just think about how much easier things will be when you eventually become used to this sort of stuff!" you told him. He still looked uneasy, so you grabbed his hand to comfort him. Holding your hand was the only thing he had actually gotten used to. That still didn't help him a whole lot, so you went for a hug.
"I don't know how to deal with being hugged by people…" he murmured, although you didn't care. You liked giving the shy boy hugs.
"Just deal with it." You gave him a smile.
After a while of just trying to get him to relax, Crona felt the warmth of your hand leave his. He turned to see strands of (H/C) disappear through the crowd.
"(Y/N)!" he cried out.
"Don't worry, Crona! Being in crowds by yourself is just Part Two of Phase One!" you called out behind you.
"But I don't know how to deal with being alone like this!" he whined.
"I guess you'll just have to deal with that too!"
You thought it was safe to say that Part Two was a success since he didn't come running after you, but just as that idea crossed your mind, you surprisingly found Crona's arms wrapped around you.
"I don't want to have to deal with crowds without you!" he whimpered.
You didn't think he'd ever be able to deal with these things on his own at this point, but you thought it was cute that he found comfort in keeping you with him.
"Don't worry Crona, I'm right here. I won't leave you, ok?" You smiled and hugged him back. You may have not been able to get him to deal with being around crowds of people, but it seems like you were at least able to get him to deal with giving you hugs, which was even better.
