Spiders

Summary: Ianto is more than surprised to learn that Jack has a phobia of spiders. Pure Janto fluff. Drabble. No spoilers, think of this as Janto therapy. Set during the good ol' days of Season 2! Reviews are loved! Xx

Ianto Jones was busy making coffee in his apartment when he heard a muffled scream coming from his bathroom. He rolled his eyes and smiled, carrying the second mug of coffee along the hallway and tapping lightly on the bathroom door.

"Jack, are you okay?" He called, trying to keep the tone of amusement out of his voice. It was hard though, when Jack fought the kinds of creatures ordinary people had nightmares about was apparently in peril in the bathroom.

"Spider." He heard Jack mutter over the sound of the shower.

Ianto forced back a chuckle of laughter and stepped into the bathroom, setting the coffee on the window ledge.

"You screamed because there was a spider?" Ianto asked, as Jack's head appeared from behind the shower curtain.

"A really big one." Jack nodded empathically, his expression completely serious. "Look," He pulled the curtain back some more and pointed at the spider climbing lazily over the tiles. Ianto had to admit that it was a fairly big spider, but certainly nothing that Captain Jack Harkness couldn't handle. He made this point to Jack, who glared at him.

"Your sympathy is overwhelming, Ianto."

"I brought you coffee." He grinned. "Now do you want me to get rid of this spider for you, Jack?"

Jack shook his head, reaching for Ianto who was, of course, fully dressed for work in a suit, waistcoat and tie.

"No, Jack!" Ianto exclaimed, as Jack's wet hands caught hold of his tie. "Favourite tie." He muttered, but the promise of what would happen next meant he barely noticed when the silk necktie fluttered to the bathroom floor.

A while later, wrapped in towels, sated and drinking coffee, Jack turned to Ianto.

"I have a confession to make." Ianto looked at him suspiciously, nothing good could come of a sentence beginning this way. "I'm not really afraid of spiders."

Ianto glared at him for a moment, before it gave way and became a grin instead.

"Still," Jack said, setting down his empty coffee cup and taking Ianto's face in his hands. "It was a great way of getting you to shower with me."

Ianto felt Jack's lips on his, and kissed him back not denying that the deception had been more than worth it.
