Just something a little bit fun and short as a new FanFiction. I didn't want to take this overly seriously but am simply hoping to have come to a decent grasp with the characters. I want to know if people think i can write them before i decide to do more fics surrounding the pair. So Reviews are Essential! [LittlEm]
'Come now Watson you can't expect me to do all the deduction…. Use your brain man! Utilise what the great creator gave you and think!'
Sherlock sat down in his armchair and leant forward, resting his head in his hand and the elbow between his legs. The pipe that was protruding from between his lips was smoking and filling the room ever so slightly with every new puff.
' Holmes it's not as simple as that is it? You've gone wrong somewhere and you need me to figure out where.'
John Watson sat in the chair opposite and glanced over at him, soft eyes that were pleading with the detective. His hand still firmly wrapped around his cane as he sat. Sherlock suddenly jumped up from his chair and started playing with a metal compass between his fingers.
' No Watson, it's not that I've gone wrong somewhere, it's just that-'
' Holmes please just admit defeat… You've filled in the crossword wrong and are frustrated because now the right answer for one question wont fit.'
Watson pulled the paper towards himself and started looking through the answers again as a frustrated Holmes paced around the living area. Throwing the compass aside he strode quickly over to Watson and snatched the paper from between his fingers.
' It's a ruddy paper, how can possibly be outsmarted by the Neanderthals that run and write this jargon. It's completely preposterous!'
Doctor Watson rolled his eyes and stood slowly, leaning on his cane as he pulled himself up, his eyes watching the detective who had now begun to mumble to himself as he ran his fingers over the answers already written.
'It could just be that you're wrong you know…'
Sherlock stopped and turned to him with a raised eyebrow.
' Watson you know as well as I, I am never wrong.'
And with that he brushed aside the thoughts of being wrong and slipped back into his armchair in hopes of realising what that final answer was.
