Disclaimer: I absolutely, positively, do not own Kirby….. I did, however, buy a Parasol Kirby Plushie about three years ago!
-Excuse of why I haven't written in a while in my biography. -
This is about how Kirby changed my life….It sounds weird I know….but I was thinking about my childhood over a vanilla ice cream cone with rainbow sprinkles (food of choice when I was a kid) and I couldn't get this poem out of my head. I guess being in High School has got me thinking about my younger years. Ha… when I was really young I always thought about High School.
Now on with the poem…
Dear Star-Warrior,
Do you know what it's like,
To feel emotional pain,
To feel like,
Like there is nothing left to be gained?
Do you know what it's like,
To lose the ability to try,
To cry,
To wish,
To hope,
To dream that you would just die?
I do,
I know it all to well,
It has made my mind swell.
Swell with regretful days,
Which, in turn, led to restless nights.
Do you little hero?
Or,
Is your mind filled with happiness,
Endless fields of flowers,
And warm rain showers.
I sure hope so,
Little beacon of light,
Because if it wasn't,
It wouldn't be quite right.
Do you realize Star-Warrior,
Realize how happy you made me as a child,
Do you realize Star-Warrior,
Realize that if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have even smiled?
Well,
If you don't,
I'm going to let you know.
That as I think about your adventures,
My mind changes.
And I don't know how,
But for some strange reason,
Everything is all better now.
That, my friends, is what you call too sappy for a kid's video game. Even though I still play it.
