Never Alone At Christmas
A/N I had to do another Shrek christmas fic but it was inspired by the Shrek Forever After news but by Artie fan art on Deviant Art since he and Shrek are my favourite guys but the young prince is feeling lonely until Shrek helps him along with two Shrek freaks from another world help to stop Charming's daughter from taking over the kingdom and ruining the season.
I hope others enjoy.
Artie sighed as he looked out the window as snow began to fall over Far, Far Away but he was feeling miserable right now as he felt lonely as it was Thanksgiving and the other members of their odd but wonderful family were coming for dinner as the chefs were preparing dinner as Lillian was getting ready but she noticed the sadness in her nephew's green eyes as she decided to leave him alone.
He sighed as he needed to clear his head.
"Maybe a walk would help......" he thought.
He then left the castle but was thinking about other things and bad memories of Worchester filled his mind as he walked through the streets of the kingdom but he felt like he belonged here but missed the love of a family, something he should've had growing up but didn't which made him depressed on this day and at Christmas.
He normally hid these feelings from Lillian and the others because he didn't want them to worry as he saw kids his age playing but sighed as he saw a certain onion carriage going through the streets that made him smile a little.
He could hear Donkey and Puss bickering a little as the carriage stopped at the castle.
He then ran all the way to the castle to meet his cousin Fiona along with Shrek and their triplets.
Shrek smiled seeing Artie but noticed depression in his green eyes.
He wondered what was bothering him as he along with Fiona and the others got out of the carriage.
But in Duloc, a young girl with long raven hair, blue eyes, slender was focusing on casting a spell.
Her name was Rae and she was Charming's daughter and the Fairy Godmother's grand daughter but had been adopted by her aunt but she was angry at Shrek and his friends because they'd taken care of both her grandmere and her father but she wanted to get revenge on them.
She then saw an image of them in the castle in Far, Far Away.
Shrek noticed that Artie was a little sad as they were about to sit down for Thanksgiving dinner.
"I-It's nothing man." the young King answered.
"I know it's not nothing Artie.
We're family but also great friends so you could tell me anything." the ogre told him.
Artie sighed in defeat.
"I'm feeling a little lonely, okay?
I feel like I don't have a family because my Dad dumped me at Worchester and my Mom disappeared." he admitted.
Shrek understood as he hugged him.
Artie then felt a warm feeling as they sat down for dinner........
