At first, he just liked having her around, but as time passes by, he realizes that there is so much more
They met when they were only middle-scholars. She went to a prestigious all girls school, and he went to a public school. It made him curious on how they met each other- Tsuna and her of course, and how she fell in love with his best friend at first sight. It made him laugh, since it was funny.
She was like a sun. Well, her name translated to bright and sunny- fit with her personality. She was optimistic, she didn't look so bright- but she was actually quite smart. Her best friend, Kyoko who also happens to be his best friend's crush was way different than Haru. Truly. Kyoko was a calm, kind, bright girl who would smile and nod, and the times when she will burst out is when her friends were in danger, or if someone was bad-mouthing her friends.
She was the complete opposite. She would state her thoughts right here and there, without really caring, since she was an open-minded girl. That bad habit of her saying what she thinks was the same habit that intrigued Takeshi Yamamoto. Her optimistic personality, and her loud but happy voice were also features that he liked.
"Ne, Yamamoto-san, you are a strong person" she had once stated. It was during the time when all of them went to the future. He remembered it so clearly. It was also the same day when he found a video of his dad stating his last words before he was murdered in the future. Everyone was there. To hide his misery and anguish, he simply put up his happy façade, fooling everyone- with the exception of Haru Miura and the instincts of the 10th Vongola.
That same very day when he found the video of his dad, Gokudera and Lambo were having a huge fight. Lambo wanted to see the video again and draw a moustache on a picture of his father, and Gokudera was shouting how idiotic that was and Lambo not understanding. The fight progressed even worse as Tsuna was also involved as he tried to be the mediator- but it wasn't working out. so there he sat, the precious CD in his hands, his eyes stinging, a lump forming at the back of his throat, his façade was cracking, and there was shouting happening in front of him.
Usually, Takeshi Yamamoto was the mediator between fights. Everyone knew that. Tsuna couldn't even stop a fight, Ryohei would probably add fuel to the fight, and even Kyoko couldn't do anything with her calm and shy personality. Seriously it irked Yamamoto to no end. He just wanted some alone time, but everyone was in his room, and there was no where else where he could have privacy.
It was Haru surprisingly who suddenly raised her voice loudly- enough to feel the vibrations of her shout. She shouted for a good 10 seconds for everyone to shut up- even to her beloved Tsuna- with the exception of her best friend. It was her who pushed everyone out of her room, silenced the open-mouthed Gokudera with one look, diminished the fire in Ryohei's eyes and shock Tsuna as well.
She pushed everyone out of the room, leaving only him and her in the room. Quickly, she pulled him up, dragged him to his own washroom, turned on his huge shower that could easily fit 5 people, and pulling him underneath the shower, soaking his clothes and skin- along with her as well. No, she did not care if the water was cold, nor if her shirt was clinging onto her body tightly, and her bra was faintly showing. She just stared at him fully in the eyes, until he closed his own eyes, and wrapped his arms around her, his tears mixing in with the water.
That was the first time he cried in a while, yet she didn't comment.
That was also the first time Yamamoto realized that Haru Miura was a one in a million.
That was also the first time he realized that he liked having Haru around.
