The Elder was on a recreational hunt on an ooman planet. A sort of vacation for him. There had been an outbreak of bad bloods and the elders and arbitrators had been very busy for a while but the problem had finally been taken care of. Following the unnatural sort of course, a vacation was scheduled. The arbitrators could handle things for a while. The elders needed a break.
The part of the planet he was on was in darkness, facing away from the binary suns. The elder hunted his prey through the maze of back alleys in this section of the city seemingly devoted mainly for storage. He was cloaked but had an odd sense of being watched. It wasn't his prey that was in the alley below desperately searching for an escape from the invisible hunter. He looked around the rooftops sensing vaguely that the watcher was on the roof off to his right.
Using the heat vision on his mask, there was an oddly blurry small creature. It had fur and a tail. It was about the size of his head and deemed to be a small threat. The elder switched mask vision to visible light and saw that the creature that had black fur and yellow eyes was looking straight at him. He moved a short distance and it followed him with a turn of his head. It was unusual for hunters to be seen by certain types of animals but not unheard of. The elder stared back as the creature, known by oomans as a "cat", began to lick itself with one leg stretched high. It ignored the yautja it had previously been watching. It then leapt off the roof and vanished from view.
The elder resumed his hunting.
The elder's ship had left the planetary system and was programmed back on course to his home ship. He claimed and stored his trophies. As he sat down at the command console and began to finally relax, the familiar sensation of being stared at came over him. His ship was private and no one had come with him so there shouldn't be anyone else on it. The elder swiveled in his chair and saw a familiar black creature.
The cat, satisfied it had commanded the yautja's attention, proceeded to wash itself on one of the weapon cabinets about the ship.
"Move off there," he growled at it.
The cat switched to the other leg.
With another growl, the yautja, accustomed to being obeyed, repeated himself. The cat ignored him.
The elder got off the chair and grabbed for the cat. It leapt to the floor nimbly and walked to the bridge door which opened for it and closed once the cat had exited. He stared at the door. A moment later, the elder walked through the door himself to search for this annoying creature.
The cat had somehow managed to disappear for the short time it was out of view. The elder spent a frustratingly long time looking for the cat in all the areas of his ship and failed to find it. When he finally gave up and returned to the bridge he was stunned to find the cat sitting in his chair. He stomped to the cat and gripped it by the scruff of his neck. He glared at the animal he had spent countless hours searching for.
"That is my chair!" he roared at it.
It narrowed its eyes and ears. Its tail twitched back and forth.
The elder threw the cat from him a short distance and sat down in his chair. He spun around to face his control console.
A few minutes later when thoughts of the cat had left his mind it jumped onto his console. He growled at it menacingly as it stepped onto his lap. It was immediately removed to the floor.
After another few minutes it leapt onto the control console and it stayed at the top away from the buttons and blocking the bottom of his viewing window.
The elder, after finishing the routine operations, decided to train in his main weapon room. The cat, which had been asleep, got up and followed him.
