Title: Feeling Nothing

Author: ElizabethSH

Focus: Huddy (House & Cuddy)

Theme: Angst

Story Type: Oneshot

NOTE: It's my first attempt at Huddy fanfictions. It's just a way the scenes could go on after Cuddy says "There is no us House!" in episode 9 Ignorance is Bliss (in the promotional spot from FOX).

I am not a native english speaker so forgive my spelling & syntax mistakes.

- There is no us House! There is never been anything, and nothing will ever be! She said seriously.

He did not answer.

He was looking straight into her eyes as if he was searching for the underlying truth behind those words.

He stepped forward slowly still gazing at her intensively but she didn't step back.

She crossed her arms and sustained his gaze forcefully. Her expression was almost angry now but so does his.

- You're lying? He finally said.

She remained silent for several seconds before stating calmly:

- I never lied to you.

in 20 years. He expected her to finish. The words were still echoing in his head when he finally remembered why. He looked down for a moment.

Taking that for his usual manipulation tricks, she sighed, closed her eyes and turned to leave.

He quickly grabbed her hand before she had even stepped away.

She looked at him severely, silently asking him to let go.

She expected to see anger in his look, but she found a gentle, innocent one instead. Surprise softened her and her shoulders felt down.

She had seen this look before.

- I have to go. I should- she attempted to say, consciously aware that it would be in vain.

He pulled her close and kissed her.

Still holding her hand, he felt it tightened.

NO! She thought, no.

She stopped fighting and tasted the kiss, before realizing what was going on.

She broke the kiss, shocked. Her eyes start filling with tears.

He opened back his eyes and stared back at her, shameless of what he had done.

- Now tell me, you felt nothing! He asked slowly but honestly.

She freed her hand.

- Go to hell, House!

He wasn't impressed!

- Say it! Say it and I'll stop.

- Fine! She almost shouted.

A tear fell down her cheek.

- I felt noth-

He grabbed her chin up.

- Look at me!

She couldn't talk. She just kept staring at him her eyes brilliantly filled with tears, begging him to let go.

He stared back, his eyes almost filling with tears too. He let go before she could notice and shut his apartment door shut.

She sobbed and left.
