Written for the Out of This World Challenge.

This month has a lot of days that relate to the world, so I thought I'd make a challenge based on it.

For example: earlier this month was World UFO Day. The 20th is Space Exploration Day and is also Moon Day. Finally, we have World Population Day on the 11th. (I'm not reaching. Don't judge me!)

With all of this in mind, I've decided that we need a monthly challenge. Of course. One where you'll need to write to collect the solar system.

The first time that James Potter set eyes on Lily Evans, he was immediately enchanted. He loved the way that her hair waved in the wind, the way her eyes sparkled in the sunlight. Her laugh was beautiful and melodious. James Potter fell in love.

It was a cold wintry day in December that James Potter secretly followed Lily up the Astronomy tower. He watched as Lily stared at the sky in wonder, the galaxies reflected in her eyes. James Potter stepped out of the shadows. Lily jumped back, her back against a wall, a hand upon her chest. "You scared me James!"

"Sorry," James said, looking at the ground sheepishly. "I guess I'll leave now." James' face was a furious red as he hurried down the stairs; unaware of Lily calling after him.

*oo*OO*oo*

"Lily, wait!" James said, running up the Astronomy Tower. He caught a glimpse of her fiery red hair. "Look I'm sorry. I won't ever do that to Snap-Severus again!"

James ran to the top of the tower, she saw Lily standing over the balcony, looking over the whole of Hogwarts, snow falling gently onto her hair. She turned around. Angry green orbs clashed with sad brown ones. "James Potter! It's Christmas, and you, you do this to Severus?! I know you don't like him, but this is too much! You utterly humiliated him! I tried to ignore it when Severus would come, tear-stricken, seeking me for comfort. But this time, this time, I won't ignore it anymore!"

As Lily was ranting, James had moved closer to Lily. He looked down at the ground. "Look. I-I-I'm sorry. It was just supposed to be a joke! It wasn't anything that was supposed to hurt him!"

"Right, because levitating him five feet in the air and then petrifying. Then taking off his pants is definitely not going to hurt anyone," Lily said, a sarcastic bite in her tone.

James sighed, his eyes pleading. "I'm sorry. I won't bother him again." Then he turned tail and left. He didn't hear Lily calling after him.

*oo*OO*oo*

"Isn't beautiful out here James," Lily said, staring at the sky in awe. "It's just so big and vast, it feels like it's going to consume me."

"Yes, Lily, it's beautiful," James said. But his eyes weren't staring at the sky. He was staring at Lily. "You're like a sky full of stars, Lils. I can't begin counting them."

Lily blushed. "Aren't you too old to be counting stars?"

"I'm never too old to count the stars in your eyes. I'd give my heart to you." James said, staring into Lily's eyes. "You're always so beautiful when you stared at the night sky. The galaxies reflected in your verdant eyes. You were perfection. I fell in love the moment I set my eyes on you."

Lily smiled. She stood on her tiptoes and kissed James, the stars bathing them in their light. This time, James didn't leave, and this time, Lily didn't need to call after him. They were both where they wanted to be.

A/N: Wow, this is ridiculously short. But I think it covers everything. This is basically meaningless fluff created by a ridiculously bored mind.
