A Forgotten promise…
She was sitting in her desk glancing at the window, trying to remember what happened between them but the only thing that comes up in her mind is the time he left and promised to come back to her. Kagome can't help but still think about that promise Inuyasha made. She sighed as she continued to do her homework. It was about two years since they finished they're mission, they manage to destroy Naraku and retrieve the jewel. Of course they all rejoiced but for Kagome it meant that her duty in the feudal era is finished. She frowned at the memory and shook it off.
She left her room and went for a stroll, as she passed by the well house she stopped. She glanced at it and thought if all of it was just a dream from a long sleep or did it really happened? Suddenly it began to rain, her mind was telling her to find shelter but she stayed outside the rain. She found her way towards the sacred tree and stared at it, then a faint image of Inuyasha appeared before her but it easily dissolve. She sat on the bench and hugged her legs to her chest. So many questions rushed to her mind all of them were about her decision. What if Inuyasha did return and she wasn't there to welcome him back? What if he truly kept his promise? All the possibilities came to her but she made her decision. She can't stay in the feudal era that long; many things might affect the future if something happened in the past. The only thing that kept the future unaffected by her meddling was the jewel and now, the jewel was gone she's not sure if time itself will remain unaffected.
She wanted to go back but she resists the urge to. 'I wonder if he exists in the future.' Kagome thought as she stood from her sit and walked back home. She didn't even care if the rain was pouring down on her. She thought that someone must be crying for her from the heavens above. 'Inuyasha…' She thought then she stopped from her trail, a single tear came down from her eyes that she never shed for a long time. After she left, she pushed her tears away and remained stoic but she knew it hurts. It hurts her so much that it's eating her away. When she reaches her house, her mom didn't bother asking her what's wrong. Her mother was very aware of what was happening and she could only smile at her. She didn't want anyone talking to her for a while even her brother knew that she wasn't in the mood to talk. As she was about to lie down to her bed, she remembered the time Inuyasha slept in it. An image of Inuyasha sleeping appeared and then vanished, she just lay down and silently cry but no tears came out from her eyes. She slowly fell asleep and began to dream. Then a shadowy figure appeared behind her, the figure was Inuyasha in his full demon form. He no longer possessed the dog ears but pointed ears that Sesshoumaru had. But unlike Sesshoumaru, he only has markings in his cheeks. He kneeled down and carefully caressed Kagome's face. 'Why didn't you wait for me…?' Inuyasha thought sadly as he looked at her. He removed some strand of hair from her face and held her hands. "Don't worry Kagome, I will exist in this time and I will find you, I promise." He said as he kissed her in the forehead. Kagome began to stir up and she immediately opened her eyes. She sat up and looked around her room, 'I heard his voice…I heard Inuyasha's voice. I will wait for you, please come back to me'she thought gladly as she stood from her bed and looked outside her window. She could feel it, Inuyasha's presence he really did come back.
