Disclaimer: I do not own GeneratorREX – if I did the show would definitely be ranked R rather than PG.

Warnings: None

A/N1: Inspired by a lecture that I had about body psychotherapy and a picture of Caesar (and following it drabble) from "GenRex: Falling on Hard Times" picture set by deserthaze(DeviantART).

Rest at last

By your-biohazardous-friend

It was over, nanites were fully operational, Consortium didn't get them. Black Knight was defeated, Holiday proposed to Six and Rex was safe. Caesar managed to finish what he had started and the outcome was satisfactory. He finally put and end to the madness and misery that tore the world those six years ago.

Caesar felt tired in every way possible but he could rest now - put away the mask he wore so well for so long. The man took off his goggles and curled under the Nanite Reactor. He rested his head in his hands, taking deep breaths. After a while, Caesar's calming draughts of air, suddenly turned into spasmodic sobs. Tears started to fall down his cheeks. He sniffed from time to time, childishly wiping his nose with a green sleeve of his shirt. He couldn't control his emotions any more. They were raw.

For the first time since Nanite Event, Caesar let himself mourn over death of his parents. He could finally blame himself for jeopardizing his brother's safety and for letting his emotions and focus slip so many times.

Rex took a step forward, ready to comfort his older brother. He was stopped by Rylander. The man shook his head.

"why not?" Rex asked. The long haired scientist, put his hands on Rex's shoulders and looked into his eyes, smiling sadly. "Caesar doesn't need consoling, Rex. He needs to abreact few things by his own accord" Rex turned his face toward his sibling, doubting.

"He will be fine" Rylander assured once more. "let's eat some pizza, my treat" the man continued, the cheerfulness of his voice was forced. The older scientist pushed the teenager out of the lab.

"Caesar will join us when he feels better. I promise"
