Percy's P.O.V

— -

There was a girl in my room

Taking a quick step back outside, my hand still on the door frame, I took in the familiar structure of the Poseidon cabin. This was most definitely my cabin.

I could only make out what she looked like from behind, seeing that her back was against me as she sat down on my bed. Brunette hair that went down mid-back, either brushed out or naturally smooth, and she had a bracelet or two on her left wrist. Just glimpsing over her, she looked like an Aphrodite.

"Hey, Perce!" My eyes reverted from her back side to Nico, who was still zipping up his shorts while he closed the bathroom door behind him. "Sorry we're in here, I had to use the bathroom before I finished showing her around the place." He said. His eyes shifted to the girl before nodding his head over towards me.

Definitely an Aphrodite. Almond brown eyes, clear skin - well, except for the faint freckles that dotted her nose and stretched out to her cheek bones - , all tagged along with a natural pink pair of lips that stretched out into a smile. She was gorgeous, just like all of Aphrodite's kids, but she probably had an annoying-as-hell personality.

"Percy." I smiled, giving her a small nod before reaching my hand out, waiting for hers.

"Eleanor," She replied, her smaller hand filling my larger one. They felt so smooth and soft compared to my rough and calloused ones, and the feeling lingered on my hand for a bit before retrieving it back and finding it's way to my pocket.

"She's new around here; well, not to the whole 'demigod' thing, but camp. I've just been showing her around." Nico said, running a hand through his hair. "All I really have left to show is the Arena, I think."

"I could show her over," I offered. "I'm headed there anyway to see Annabeth."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, it's fine." I said. "No sweat."

"Thanks," He smiled. "I needed to go talk to Thalia anyway. Plans and stuff, ya know?" He said, referring to the upcoming war. Making his way out, he patted my back before brushing past me, slipping out the door. "I'll see ya later, El!" He shouted over his shoulder, shooting a small wave at her before jogging over to the Big House.

"Let's get going." I said, holding the door open for her as we filed out. The Arena actually wasn't that far, probably a single minute walk.

It was silent at first, the sound of our feet upon the ground filling my ears. That was, until she spoke up.

"So you're a Poseidon?" She asked, looking up at me.

I was taken aback for a second, not expecting her to talk so soon. Not like it was a bad thing, though. I was a horrible conversation starter, so not having to try to figure out something to say was fine by me.

"Yeah," I said, nodding a bit. "Who's your parent?" I asked.

"Apollo." She said. "I sound so unoriginal compared to you, though." She chuckled.

"Nah," I spoke, "As long as you're not stuck with being a Dionysus, you're fine." I chuckled.

"And what do you have against him?" She said playfully.

"There's... there's a lot." I said, trying to piece together a string of words to say. "But that's a story for another time. Besides, we're already here."

Just something I typed up off the top of my head, thinking of reverting this from a draft to an actual chapter in the making! I don't know if I should continue this, though, what do you guys think? :) x
