Most Important

Doumeki had never had much in common with anyone at all. This was partly due to the fact that he never showed if he liked something one way or another, and partly due to the fact that he saw himself as boring. Before he had met Watanuki he had just sort of stumbled through life aimlessly. He was good at archery, tall, tan, and athletic; a real ladies man. It didn't matter to him at all. The only person whom he cared about more then life itself, was Kimihiro Watanuki. This was a fact he could not explain, but it was there, and for the first time it gave him a deep connection to someone else.

Himiwari had never had many friends, she had figured out her curse at an early age, and tended to avoid most other people for anything but casual contact. She had tried to avoid Watanuki too, but unlike most he made more then a passive effort. Watanuki was constantly following her, giving her gifts, and fawning over her. At first it scared her. Watanuki's heart was so pure, and he was so sweet. Surely, Kunogi Himiwari, the cursed girl with no friends, did not deserve such a great person. Did Watanuki care? Not in the slightest. His love was so unconditional it was blinding. For the first time, Himiwari wanted to change, so she could be close to another human being.

"He's not here yet." Doumeki observed, taking a casual glance at his watch. "Should we be worried?"

"No, but I'm worried anyway." Himiwari laughed a little. "I can't help but worry about him whenever he's not here."

"Yeah." Doumeki nodded. He had come to appreciate Himiwari as the person with whom he had something in common. To both him, and Himiwari, Watanuki was the most important person in the world.

"I'm so glad we're all going out like this." She smiled softly. "I can be with Watanuki as long as you're here, so thank you."

"No problem." Doumeki did not smile, he didn't have to.

"In the end, I hope he picks you." She admitted. Before Doumeki had a chance to respond Watanuki came bounding up in usually bubbly fashion.

"Good evening Himiwari!" He waved happily. "Hi, Doumeki." He said in a much less jubilant tone.

That was just the way things were. To Himiwari, Watanuki was kind. To Doumeki, he was begrudgingly indebted. But to both, he was the most important person.

I know that I published "Unusual Meetings" before this, but this is what I wrote first. It's sort of a drabble. I've dedcided however to flesh out this idea in the other fiction. I'm doing this because I think there is an appalling lack of attention for Himiwari. I've searched photbucket, deviant art, and this site for her name. Collectively I got about fifteen hits, most of which were her being critisized, or shoved in back. Please give me feedback on whether you like or dislike my fanfics. Thanks.
