Spoilers for 3x07 Current

A/N: Really didn't like that there's not much from Boy'd point of view about his death. Admittedly it was a little difficult to write since we don't really know much about Boyd ( which is why this is short).

Loneliness that was what he felt everyday before he had become a werewolf. Sitting by himself in the lunchroom, watching everyone talking to each other about homework, their teachers about everything but not one of them were talking to him. The loneliness had been suffocating, he had been drowning in it, and the one person who offered their hand to save him had been Derek.

His life had changed the moment he had gotten the bite, he suddenly had people to talk to. People who cared about him, people he would risk his life to save. People like Erica...people like Derek. Who even after he had left him for another pack, even when he had tried to kill Derek, Derek didn't kill him even to save his life. So of course Boyd did his best to save him his alpha, despite Derek's insistence that he and Issac leave him alone.

He didn't back off, he fought till the end, he just never thought it would happen like this. Being placed onto Derek's claws, feeling his skin ripping and the pain, the excruciating pain. Then being lowered to the ground not that he really noticed, not with the level of pain and the increased level of difficulty of being able to breath. He could hear it the panic in Derek's voice, he knew that he hadn't meant to hurt him and he seemed very sorry, panicked. It was because of Derek's tone that Boyd knew he was going to die. Derek wasn't exactly good at showing his emotions unless it was serious.

He had to let Derek know, had to let him know that Boyd didn't blame him. That the best thing in his life had been becoming a werewolf, because it meant he had become someone, become someone to someone. Yeah he hadn't wanted to die as a teenager, but he much rather this way surrounded by people then the way he planned to in the beginning. When Derek had first approached him about the bite, he had been seriously considering killing himself to get himself out of his miserable existence. Dying this way was preferable then dying because of loneliness. At least he had been able to feel the power of the moon, and the friendship and a hint of more with Erica. He had lived his life the way that he wanted, and he much more preferred this way to die. He felt himself slipping away, the darkness encroaching on his vision and it was okay he felt at peace about it.

"I knew you couldn't stay away." he heard a voice say. He knew that voice, he turned around finding himself in a place of light but he didn't notice it because Erica was standing there with a big grin on her face.

"It wasn't nearly as fun without you" he said as he found himself grinning back at her.
