Me: Hiya there people! Oh my Gaara I have something very important to discuss! It is Gaara's neglectful childhood. So, I am here to provide entertaining fics that help love again okay?

Temari: What about your funny fics on other shows?

Me: Those come later! For now it's Gaara - sama!

Gaara: ...I hate you.

Me: Gaara is so mean! But I forgive him because of his past and that awful Yashamaru!

Gaara: Stop with the sympathy! I am a demon who loves only myself and I fight only for myself!

Me: Whatever Mr. Negative I still love you so onto the fic!

Kankuro: You're forgetting the disclaimer!

Me: ... Gaara - sama?

Gaara: FINE! She doesn't own us... thank god. But she does own the little girl so just read...

Me: Hugs Gaara

As Gaara was walking his lonely path through the forest he came across a child. She had brown hair and amazingly innocent blue eyes that were currently staring longingly and sadly up at a ball that was stuck in a tree. Tears formed as she pathetically reached up, almost wishing it would fall.

Gaara was consumed in memories of black and white. Instinct told him to pop it, leave her to cry. But, something about the girl made him stop. He didn't want to. He sighed and summoned the sand to get it down from the high branch. It dropped into his hands.

The girl was staring at him now with a confused expression. She bit her lip and faint traces of fear danced in her eyes.

He sighed and turned his head away, that look hurt to damn much. He held the ball out. "Here." He sighed, knowing the girl wouldn't pick the ball from his hands. She would run, most likely, never looking back.

"Huh?" Surprise crossed his features when he felt the ball lifting from his hands. He looked softly at quizzically at the young girl.

"Thank you mister!" She said in a nervous but happy voice, smiling at him as Temari often would with a hesitant touch to it. She seemed to be debating something. "Do... you... w-want to, um... play?" She looked at him with innocent hopeful eyes.

He couldn't believe it; he couldn't even speak. Usually children adults and peers ran away from him in fear yet... this girl wanted him to play!

The girl whispered her words. "Sorry... you probably don't." She turned and started walking away.

"Wait!" Gaara called gently making her turn and rub the tears from her eyes. "Please, can I play?"

The girl smiled and nodded. "I don't know why everyone told me you were mean mister. I think you're pretty nice."

Gaara looked at her with surprise. "You... know?"

The girl nodded. "But please keep playing?" She threw him the ball and smiled.

Gaara hesitated no more and threw the ball back. "I'd like nothing more."

"I'm Seijun by the way." The girl said.

"Gaara."

"Thank you for playing with me, Gaara." The young girl gently traced her finger on the ball and threw it to him.

"No, thanks for letting me."

End!

Me: Wasn't it kawaii? smiles

Gaara:" twitches

Kankuro and Temari: Hysterical laughter.

Gaara: I'll kill you all...
