Little Hitsugaya on a sugar-rush ; D. I love the guy, though he's always so damn serious... of course, I can't see him as a hyper-kid, so instead I did this! This just came to me while I was reading Bleach manga... damn, I love Bleach. Too bad they don't have much fanfiction yet, though I can't understand why-- Bleach is at least as good as Naruto. I think. Enjoy!
"Wh—where am I?" he looked around the room in panic, running a hair through his white hair. The room he was in seemed familiar and yet… it wasn't. "Am I dead? Did I become a mortal?" He stood up from the seat he was in and started walking around. "Well, if I'm dead, it doesn't feel so bad… is that cake?"
He blinked at the small piece of strawberry cake lying on the table in the centre of the room. The cake blinked back, much to his own shock and he fell backwards, landing on his butt as he pointed at the cake-demon.
"Wh—what the hell are you!" he yelled at it, grabbing his sword. He was ready to strike if the thing attacked him. A couple of blinks later, the cake still hadn't moved from it's position, though he was sure the strawberry on top of it was growling at him… that wasn't good. "If—if you don't stop that, I'll eat you!" he threatened, sheathing his sword and standing up from his ungraceful position.
"Captain Hitsugaya?" He was startled when a voice came from the doorway—he turned around and saw his vice-captain standing there, one eyebrow raised. Next to her stood Renji, who was even more surprised.
"Matsumoto! Did the strawberry get you too?!" he asked, his face dead serious. "Renji, you hold that cake and I'll kick his ass, got that!" he ordered to Renji, who now had both eyebrows raised. As Hitsugaya continued to threaten the cake, Renji looked at Matsumoto, who could barely contain her laughter.
"What the hell did you give that kid? Don't tell me you gave him sake," he asked, narrowing his eyes at her. She shook her head.
"No, I didn't give him that," she deadpanned. "However," she gave a little snort when Hitsugaya threw the strawberry against the window and squashed it with his hand. "I did put a lot of extra sugar in that strawberry cake I gave him this morning… I wanted to see what he was like when he had a lot of sugar. Y'know, get him a bit hyped up… but now he's just delusional. I guess that's even more fun!" she exclaimed happily, yelling to Hitsugaya that the cake was about to attack him.
Renji sighed and wondered vaguely why they called him a 'boy genius'.
